I sent my muddy H2 through the wash today only to find that I had a small chip in the hood. Could not see it until the mud was washed away.

Any good chip repair guys that do a good job? I really want to keep this thing nice. Any chance of rust from the chipped area?

Ouch!!

Weird as it may sound, I got my color match bottle at WallMart. Then like Ken said, toothpick works great.

Thanks. Does the dealer have the paint? Or, any auto parts store. It's Stealth Grey Metalic.

Note:

The hood is fiberglass...no rust!

the dealership should be able to sell you a small bottle. it should be around #3.50 - $4.00 range. any paint shop could mix it for you also, but it would be in larger quantities, such as a pint.

I'm surprised Dragon did not tell about My little rock chip right on the sharp edge of the hood back near the air box on pass side. Got it the first day i bought the rig headed to Dallas as hard as i could go. So much for breakin in. that is how I always break them in just like I'm going to be driving them so there is no surprise to the girl. I have just acted like it wasn't there but, now the guys have to fix it because of some airbrushing they want to do.
Oh that reminds me Dragon tell the guys they better save me some touch up out of that can of paint We have been using. Get it from them and into something in to your safe so they cannot get it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

will do taz. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

since the chips are (i'm assuming yours is here) small, the slight difference in color from a slightly off color paint will work.

I have to ask what you guys are doing for the scracthes in the door jam from getting in and out? I have a few that go in to the sealer coat, and just short of painting the whole rocker is there anything you have treated it with?

what are you doing to scratch it up?? i've never seen that. are there a lot of black marks that look like scratches? because they can be buffed out. i hope i don't seem to be insulting your intelligence. i just want to make sure we start where it's simplist and cheapest for you.

Get rid of the twelve keyring things. Leave some of your rings at home. That should do it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have a few scratches on the door sill though. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
