View Full Version : Screw the MPG

I've had it. I've been running some additive that was supposed to increase my MPG but found it to be erratic and in the end, I got less MPG than before.
Instead of all this "I get 15 MPG", "I get blah blah blah MPG", let's see who can get the WORST MPG for one tank of gas.
Fill Up, Reset the avg MPG, and go until the low fuel indicator is on. See how LOW of an MPG you can manage.
I am going to fill up today and see what I can do. :clapping:
It's gonna be great. No more slowest person at the green light, no more coasting, no more setting the cruise at 60. It's gonna be 80 now!!
I look forward to seeing what we can manage.
And for the greenies out there, go f*ck a tree. I don't care!

You can get it really low by sitting in Park with the engine idling. Mine got down to 7.1mpg after about 10 minutes. I wish I had had more time to see how low it would go. :D

I understand that I'm not an H2 owner, but I have been able to get a commendably low 12.55 with my H3. I have an average of about 13.5!!:fdance:

Somehow I mangled my reply in with yours but we both mean same thing. hs3 are for pothole filling ,jeepers and3ers have little minds and smaller peckers and are meant to be driven down or over never around and additives are for drinking Long Live THE ONE TRUE HUMMER THE H2[you H1s are always welcome]' THE REBEL and PROUD OF IT:dancingbanana: :twak: :p

I have a H3 for 3000 miles and 12.55 isn't bad (for low MPG, not good MPG)!! I don't see why we can't include H3s in the fun... Just not H1s. Those things get 6 MPG being towed down the highway!!! :fdance:

No, no, no... I'm talking Tire squealing, mud tossing, rock hammering, 160 mph in the city, crazy azz driving... (ok, so the tires don't squeal and it wouldn't do 160 with a jet engine attached, but you get the idea)

i drive about 3 miles a day round trip to my office from my house...and i am getting a whopping 11.7MPG on the DIC display.....i betcha if i left it idle at the office all day long that would easily go down into the single digits....LOL

I like this thread. I got 3.3 mpg pulling a 10,000 lb trailer with 6 in lift and 38 tires. But I looked good doing it :D
also about 75 mph

i am thinking you might have the winner for the lowest MPG there....3.3 MPG....whew....you da man!I bet you if you strapped on a few prius's behind that trailer you could get that down to 2MPG

Screw it, I'll join in on this fun! I'll run the supercharged hummer to your neighbors house and pick up the daughter. By the time I get back to north texas I should have a pretty good idea how ****ty my mileage is with the new charger and with the pedal to the floor for an entire tank of gas.

Well one tank later I managed 8.3 MPG. I did it without a trailer, with at least 50% highway driving (at 90). The key to good (low) MPG is GETTING DIRTY. I even got 'er so stuck that I had to call a buddy of mine to haul the b*tch out. (He drives a Dodge Dualie with a Banks Turbo running about 800 hp).
I still have to bow my head to 3.3.... That is simply amazing!

I can barely get below 11 in mine with a whipple and hammering it after ever turn, light or when the song changes on the radio. :jump:

Damn... I can't GET 11... Of course I do spend WAY too much time in stop and go traffic here in Dallas. That kills it. I have reset my avg, driven 15 miles on the highway with a 13.5 avg. and had it drop to 9.9 in 3 blocks from the highway to the office...
Oh well...
I know one thing, I am enjoying the truck more now that I am not setting the cruise at 60!!!
