I have about 11 months left on my lease and I need to get some new tires before the winter (my tires are like bologna skins after about 24,000 miles:rant: ). Anyway, I don't want to pay a fortune for new tires since there's a good chance I may try turn in my H3 early to get into another GM vehicle. Considering that it's a leased car and how much time I have left on the lease, can you guys please recommend some decent tires that will get me through a winter in the Northeast without breaking the bank? I don't know what the deal is as far as returning a leased car with different tires (I've never had to replace tires on a leased car before), but I assume I have to return it with a decent set of tires on it.
I don't do any off-roading whatsoever (no comments please;) ) so that's not a factor in my decision. Thanks in advance.
best bet is to buy some from someone wanting to upgrade..

Looks like slim pickins' over there. Any other recommendations>? I don't mind going to a tire store to get them but I don't want to pay a fortune for tires that I may only use for another 6-8 months.

I assume you have 265 x 75 x 16 Goodyears? the non-Adventure tires
I'd check with the dealer to see if they have any OEM tires they have taken off during an updgrade.
Look for specials on some kind of All Terrain tires that will get you thru till trade in time.

What do you consider a "fortune" and where are you located? I just upgrades the stock 31" on my new H3 to the adventure 33's and I'll be selling the set of 5.... :dancingbanana:

Unfortunately, I'm in NJ so I don't think that's going to work (I noticed that you're in or near Pittsburgh - I'm a huge Steeler fan). The tires I have are the stock ones that come with the Luxury Package so I guess they're the 265 75R16. Looks like they go for about $100/tire online but I wouldn't get them online anyway since they'll need to be installed.
This is the first time I've ever had to replace tires on a leased vehicle. Am I wrong in thinking that there's no way I should have to replace tires so soon?

I've replaced tires on both a leased explorer and Exposition and both times used non OEM tires and had no problems.

I PM'ed you some info. I'm out Eastern PA a lot so delivery wouldn't be an issue, you just need to have them mounted and balanced.
