Guys,
Need some advice, I really like the look of the KMC XD Monster wheels but I am confused on wheel sizes and the impact on handling, braking, chassis rubbing etc based on wheel selection. Do I go 20x9 or 22 x10 - I have searched the forums and I see some folks have the 22x10?s KMC XD monsters and wanted to get some feedback.
My only criteria is that I really don?t want to modify my H2 and would like to impact handling as little as possible.

hi i have the kmc rockstars i love the look i have 20 x 10 with 37 inch muddgrapplers. they handle nice .. but they do affect breaking distance and acceleration quite a bit. i would think the 22 's would be even worse.. so i would stay with the 20 's or smaller. unless you dont mind those problems. but whatever you chose they will look nice . good choice.

How much lift do you have on that rig? Also, where did you get those and at what price? I was looking at the same wheel. Also, any issues with wheeling scratching them up? And...last one...is it a flat black or is there a clear caot and a shine to them. Seems like they would be easy to scratch since the rim flushes at the center. Thanks in advance bro....VERY NICE LOOKING TRUCK...btw.:beerchug:

im putting these rims on my h2 aswell, i was wondering if the grapplers was the only option you could go with because on 4 wheel parts thats the only tire it brings up fo that size

thanks ! i have a 6 inch fabtech lift , for the wheels i had to wait for a couple months to get them instock.. but ive seen them other places lately.. i got them at 4 wheelparts.com http://www.4wheelparts.com/PPT4727T100106.aspx and got a really good deal.. i think i paid alittle under 1,000. bucks shipped for the wheels and lug nuts. thats for the 20 x 10 . no i havent had any scratching at all.. i take the center part off for wheeling. the star part you can take off easy so that helps. they are flat black. i really like the way they turned out . yeah i though about trying the toyo also.. i figured id try the mudd grapplers frist. i really like them

I have the four inch lift, Mojave 17" rims and stock tires. Thought I would try it out. The wife said it looked funny with the small tires.:beerchug:
I will probably go to 37" once I get a little more tread wear on the stock tires.

MAN! Its really hard to decide between the KMC Rockstars and the American Eagle Racing Mojave. Either one will def be 20" I do like both though and I like the fact that neither show the rotor and brakes that much (I don't care that much for the wide open look). Thanks for the pics. Let me know what you think....Jamie

Reason I have been asking is due to having a bad experience with a set of Rockstar's I ordered and got. I was trying to get the people to make it right...today they finally did. So I guess I am stuck with my order and no sending them back for the Mojave's. All in all it worked out...in case anyone cares.:)

What did you decide? On our first H2 I had 20" Lexani's with 35/12.50-20 Nitto Mud Grapplers. Looked hot but they set must have weighed a ton as I had a couple near death experiences braking on the highway. Upsrung weight is our enemy. I run 18" DRIV's now on 35/12.50-18's and they drive and brake like the stock setup.
Not to confuse the issue I am looking at 22" Welds but then Welds weight a lot less.

From purely an aesthetic perspective, I like the KMC's better. The Mojaves, while nice in Teflon, remind me of the old Alcoa Mickey Thompson wheels which I never thought were especially nice looking (though very durable). Enjoy your Stars Jaimie.:beerchug:
