Greeting all northern hemisphere people,
i am currently converting my second H2 to right hand drive, here is Australia, it is a brand new (yes it has taken this long to get it here) 2006 fusion orange limited edition. i am nearly finished the RHD conversion and hope to have it on the road next month.

I have fitted Brembo brakes, (plan on supercharging it later) but have found that when at idle the hyrobooster doesn't have the line pressure to turn the steering wheel with foot on the brake, i have modified the power steering pump to up the line pressure to 1440 psi and it has alleviated the problem significantly, but i am finding that i need to stall the car a bit by use of accelerator to turn the wheel when static.

Does anyone know if there is a booster to accompany the brembo's or a solution to this problem. the factory booster and pump etc are used and line pressure is to spec as i ran pressure guages on the lines to diagnose.

PS here are some pics of a new h2 cut up

One word: Wow!

I wish I could help you on the brakes. I would talk to Brembo directly.

Hell, I was thinking it was going to be a pain to install a supercharger in the next year or so... RHD is just plain insane!

Good to have an aussie in the ranks!

i have contacted Brembo but to no avail, the department i spoke to seemed more orientated towards sales and advertising, technical department wasnt available.

got the A/c sorted today along with swaping all the motors in the front seats over and repining the mirrors

I think they have switched mostly to AP racing, but back in the day (2003 onward) I think these guys probably installed more Gran Turismo Brembo kita than anyone. http://www.stillen.com/

Perhaps they could help. Best of luck in opposite world. :dancingbanana:

Thanks very much for that , i rang stillen and spoke with the technical hotline, they couldn't tell me any problems with Brembo's but they assured me the AP racing was built to go with the standard Hydrabooster. i may change to ap if i cant find the cure to the problem, but i hate changing something wjhen i dont really know the cause of the problem.

Thanks guys,
i cant up the lne pressure any more as i now have the pump modified to the maximum recommeded factory pressure. i have pretty much got the conversion completed now (started it yesterday and all electrics work, even got the heater box happening with good air flow)
the problem doesn't appear to be at my end, it seems that the brembo's take more from the hydraulic system than the system can supply, i looked at seperating the two return systems from the hydrabooster, but i am getting a bit out of my field. It would just be nice to see if anyone else has experienced problems with fitting brembo's front and rear
