I would like the 5.3 V8 standard and the same steering wheel controls found in my 07 Tahoe.

A matching 12" dimple on the roof.
Plastic that doesn't crack.
An indicator that tells me my front diff blew.
A special compartment for tissues.
H2 off road ability.
.....To name a small few.

I do, but I don't want to deal with the tree hugger mentality. Rebadge the H2 a H3 and I'll buy it.

Well I've heard some H3 owners complain that the front seats don't recline back enough to get into the missionary position. The back seat is not big enough for your friends when your swaping, and yes there needs to be a tissue dispenser for cleaning up, you know what i mean. :giggling:

A V8 with 5-speed manual and Adventure pkg!
Cast Iron diff on all new models and retro active on older models
Factory installed air compressor for tires
Fold Flat rear seat
2 tow hooks on the rear bumper (relocate the rear plate to spare tire)

I could go for some more crotch room and a crotch cooler vent below the steering wheel as well!

Yes GM H3 QIT Product Improvement drink more coffee and act B4 the competition eats your lunch. Skip the chrome and fluff! Here are meat and potato's issues...
-Replace the aluminum differential with steel.
-The 4 speed Trans is history. If Borg Warner cant do it get someone else
-We are tired of wiping the mud off the inside of the back door. Get a fix.
-The splits on the top rails are getting old. Find a solution or redesign it.
-The center console has been too small for too long. Improve it.
-The hump/lump when rear seats are down is inconvenient. Brain storm it.

i totally agree about the backseat folding down, i still vote for the roof mounted windshield wipers similar to the H1

Seriously, all kidding aside, a vent under the steering wheel panel for cool or hot air in some cases would be a groove. Simple creature comfort modification. Actually I think it may be time to trade the wife's car in on an H2.

1. Cast Iron front diff
2. Front Diff locker
3. Springs (Rear and front) instead of the current leaf springs and torsion bars
That's about it.

A fricken rear view mirror that dims better than the stock one. All these bastages with H2's and their fricken off road lights behind me!

A short list of minor enhancements I'd like to see made to the H3
Diesel engine in all models (approx 4 L)
V8 available in all models (not just the Alpha)
Manual transmission available in all models
Solid front axle
Locker and selectable hubs up front
Coil / Coil-over suspension up front
37 inch tires on the adventure model
Part time transfer case

It seems as though there is not enough attention to what the customers want and more toward bean counting cuts. Personally I would love, and pay for, most of the improvements that are suggested here. If not I will be weighing all the options out there when it comes time to buy a new vehicle, including the H3 if it is still around!

I just picked up an 08 on Monday and am extremely unhappy with that metal colored piece, aka the impact bar. I was going to buy one from an 07 until I saw the price. I thought about painting it but I don't want it to be a bad paint job and flake or chip.

hopefully the guys at GM would realize they made a dumb mistake with that :raar: and change it back for next year, the only color it looks remotly good on is Boulder Grey, you could always take it into a professional place and have them paint it, and out of curiousty how is much is that piece, and wouldnt you have to change the whole skid plate to since that change as well and this year its like one big connected piece?

It was easy to change, get yourself a can of Dupli-color spray on truck bed liner, sand the area you want with fine san=d paper, clean off with some isopropyl alcohol and tape off all the surrounding area with masking tape and plastic or paper. Spray away, you can build the texture you want with how many coats you apply. Took a couple of hours tops.

It won't do any worse than the paint that is on there and it is easy to touch up if you have to. I first thought that front piece was just clear coated aluminum, but when I got to prepping I noticed it was sprayed, it didn't matter I didn't like the look of it, it visually made it stick out more so I would have changed it if it was gold leaf!:giggling:

The bumper bar is about 250 with a discount. That's too much, lol. We have a body shop at my dealership so I'll just wait until they need to paint a black car and I'll take mine off and let them paint it. I can't stand it. It's bothering me.
