I know the adventure package comes with the LT285/75 R16 tire size as compared to the P265/75 R16 on the standard model. Is there any issue (tire rub / clearance) with mounting the larger tire on the standard package H3?
thanx

what are you ordering? If you wheel at all and don't care about mpg loss I'd go 315/16/75

I am using the stock wheels that are being powder coated this week. I am going to choose tires this week. I am considering two ideas. I may stay with the stock 265 size but upgrade to a LT (light truck, the stock comes with P, passenger) with a very aggressive tread. Or I may go up to the 285 with a moderately aggressive tread. I have seen may photos with the 285s and they dont look too big at all. I am just nervous about the ride of the bigger tire and if they affect gas mileage and power / acceloration. I plan to do minimal offroading (at least until the truck is couple years old). Any opinion on the 285s? Do they affect mileage or power / acceloration? thanx again.

After hours of surfing tire info I think I may go with the General Grabber AT2 tire. They are priced good, have good reviews and have an aggressive tread. I am also looking at the Mastercraft Couser Ct which is just about the same as the General. Both have aggressive treads but are not like mud terrain types and should do well on and off the road. Another day or two of consideration and I will decide which size, 265 or 285.
I also considered the Toyo Open Country AT.
Any input / opinions.

My adventure package tires are great! No problems, and gads mileage is fine.
