Rear Brake light????

Hey all, I recently purchased an insert that goes over the rear brake light. (every time you hit the brake it will say HUMMER on the brake light) Anyways, does anybody know how to access the light itself so I can make the switch?:popcorn:

Yep. There are 2 trim plugs at either end of the black plastic cap ("upper molding" or applique, per GM) on the top of the liftgate. Pop those out. There are 4 Phillips head screws to remove. 2 are in that molding and 2 are in the actual LED assembly. After unscrewing the lamp, you must free the wiring by removing the cap. Then carefully remove the grommet without damaging it and disconnect the electrical connector. To be honest, that light sounds a little goofy to me. Please post pix once installed. Thanks.

How did you make out with the HUMMER insert on the light instead of on the glass.
Im replacing light assy that went out and wanted to put the HUMMER sticker on the light instead of the outer glass ?
