I love this $hit. I just got a leaflet in the mail from my H2 dealership's sales department (McGinnis in Houston) that says they're in short supply in their used vehicle department, and are in need of 5 2005 H2s to satisfy requests from potential buyers. It goes on with more bull$hit saying something like they assure me that they will pay me market value or, in some cases, even more for my truck, and are certain that they can arrange "affordable monthly payments" on a new 2007 H2 (not the 2008).

If I have some time to waste this weekend, I might just pay them a visit just to phuck with them about those monthly payments...considering I pay cash for all my vehicles. :giggling:

They sent me one also, same deal for my 03. They said they need 36 used H2's to fill their customer demands.

I got one of these from my Acura dealer back in May of this year..... sounded too good to be true so I called the guy I have bought my last 4 Acura's from and asked him about it. He said they were indeed short on 1-2 year old cars for the certified inventory so they were paying top dollar for trades. We talked some quick numbers on the phone (I really wanted the new Type S model TL). I researched online and talked with friends who work/manage other car dealers and found out what market trade was on my car before going into the Acura dealer...... long story short I got my new car for invoice and got $1200 over clean book for my car on trade.... ended up being a great deal for me.

As far as the Hummer goes...... if you can get a 07 for invoice (or maybe better since the 08's are out) and get great money for your trade it could be worth while to take a look. I hate when they try to play the payment game.... I would rather deal with real numbers such as actual trade amount and actual price of new vehicle and take it from there.

What they want is for you to come down to the lot so they can get a shot at selling you a new Hummer and stealing yours ,they will tell you anything to get a shot at you . nothing new been going on for ever at all new car dealers . it works too, they will snag about 2 out of 10 that bite on the bait.

I got the same flyer from my dealer in St. Petersburg, Fl. a while back. Mass mailing, change the dealer name and location.

If I get anything from my dealer other than a hand addressed envelope I toss it.
