Does this setup with front and rear winch require an additional battery?

Oh, also looks great :)

Nice fab work. Just looks heavy and far too low. :beerchug:

Not at all. Still half as heavy as an H2 with a rear tire carrier/gate in the back. It sits 1/4 inch lower but the side departure angles radically improved. But with 37" tires now, it sits an 1" above stock. And that's with the air disengaged.:beerchug:

But don't be embarrassed Gaybob, no one here will ever take you seriously. Your handicap of not having hands on experience with the H2 and off road knowledge was understood since the first day you joined. You're an e-wheeler...... And gay.:jump:

Why don't you just stick to the gay jokes and make us laugh like before. The village idiot thing doesn't suit you.:giggling:

Dang I love this rig more than the first time I sat in it new. Is that possible?

He made them to fit a certain PIAA light. I'm looking to put something else since them PIAAs are expensiiiiiive for the beating they might get at that level.

It's getting alot of attention from the local wheeling crowd here. Everyone is impressed. Hope to put it to the test (Obviously on another rig.:giggling:) on our upcoming snow run up Chehalis where the trail is Suzukisam narrow.:D

When I had my portable rear winch, it was always cool to see some of the group jockying for position behind me whenever we were about to head out. Now I don't have to lug that thing around.

The overhead shot from your office makes it look like it's not wired up yet. (3 contacts on the left)

So it actually sits lower than a stock bumper? :notallthere:

I see the sides are much improved, but I seriously doubt that bumper with a winch weighs less than a tire carrier bracket and a stock bumper. Maybe if you include the weight of the spare tire, which hopefully he still carries somewhere other than on the top of his roof, it might be close.

I did say that the fab work on the bumper was nice, looks clean and well built, just a tad bit overkill for my tastes.

Uhhhhhh HELLO?????

It's funny how inexperienced wheelers (No matter how long they've tried), always blame damage on the rock, the vehicle, or the situation when all along they were the ones who put themselves in that predicament.

"Ya, the bumper should have known better.":OWNED:

"Ya, that rock should have had the brains to move.":OWNED:

"Ya, that bumper should have been 4" thick because of my inability to pick a line.":OWNED:

"It's the Hummers fault.":OWNED:

"It's the alcohol's fault":OWNED:

In a few weeks Alec, you're gonna be blaming your Jeep for the mess you get yourself into again.:clapping::OWNED:

DRTY has the wiring still in his truck (I stole that one from him.:D) so I had to order new wiring and control box for it.

I'll probably won't be using it often. Mostly for other rigs or just being a good samaritin out on the winter roads. But when I need it, it'll be there.;)

Uhm... dumbass, I ran the same trails you did in Moab right after we put that bumper on your rig and I didn't bang up my panels. I also ran the Rubicon with that bumper and managed NOT to wreck anything. You wheel like crap. Can't wait to see you lay that Jeep on its side or better yet - roll it. You really are a sad alcoholic.

Very nicely done... one quick question. Can you not make a cover for the top of the bumper to hide the winch?

I ask only because trying to crawl over the rear bumper to get inside can be a pain and that's where I'm sure most of us put our knees to get up inside.

Looks great, looks and quality-wise.

Why did you add so much more space on Dennis' bumper then? :OWNED:

How many times did you attempt Tater Salad before I came along so you could follow my line? Or had the balls to go up Lion's Back until DRTY and I decided to go up? :giggling::OWNED:

Yup. You went a bunch of times and caused alot of damage to your H2. I guess practice doesn't help you in your case. We've been there less, but we had the nuts to do more than you.:OWNED:

If you can look past your drunken haze, you'd realize that you look stupid to blame the rig, the bumper, the body damage, the hot tub, the tomato plant and me. It's you dummy.:raar::OWNED:

That picture is of another bumper and has much relevence to this thread as me posting a picture of a tomato plant of hot tub.:OWNED:

:notallthere:
Reading comprehension pwns you.
The body damage you sustained is due to YOUR crappy wheeling skills. I have an identical bumper and have run equally, if not more, difficult trails than you have and have ZERO body damage. Can you explain that? Well?

Lemme guess... You're pissed because your Jeep Compass doesn't do as well as your H2...

If you want to rag on and on, go insert a tampon and get over it.

By the way, there's no harm in admitting when you f*** up. Lord I took some zhit over the Titanic. I have also BURIED my H2 a three times. My H2, unlike your's, didn't drive itself to any of the spots it got stuck (or damaged).

Get a life Jeep boy...:raar:

Back to the bumper for sec...looks great. I have that hook also attached to my synthetic line and found it takes too much care and feeding. Seems like every time I need to use my winch I spend more time trying to free the spring clip mechanism in the hook than on the actual recovery. I think I'm gonna break out the plasma cutter and just use a D shackle instead.

I know this is an old thread but I just found it so deal with it.

I think this bumper looks like crap and it should immediatly be sold to me so you no longer have to drive around with it....... hmmmm.... didnt think that would work but thought it was worth a shot. So how about maybe releasing the plans, specs, and demensions of the bumper for the rest of us..... hmmm. that didnt work either well how about maybe you make some more for the less skilled in welding group out here. I am not sure if you do this for a living or just for fun but with the demensions of this bumper and the tips or tricks you might share with us, I could get this done. any assistance or advise would be greatly appreciated. And you can bet my next questions will be about the front bumper you crafted as well. You really have made some sick looking stuff that i know many of us would love to have as well. however if you are after the one of a kind look and dont want to release anything I understand.

Thanks in advance DRTYFN
