compressor gone haywire

I know its common...luckily i heard it running as i walked away or I'd be stuck in CT...

I yanked the fuse to keep it from killing my batt...is it safe to drive this way?

Or will my ass start saggin or something?

I'm guessing that you know that it's normal for the system to level off after you shut down the engine. It will click for a while and then stop on its own.

If the compressor keeps running and you pull the fuse, its ok to drive but if the rear sags, install the fuse and air up the bags. I would check the air susp relay have seen many stick on and cause the compressor to run continous even with key off.

yeah its not the "ticking"...im used to that!

where is this relay? im sure its an easy fix that shouldnt cost mewhatever the dealer's gonna charge!

depends what year h2 you have 03-04 was on the inside of left framerail right by the firewall. Newer model they were relocated to the top of the pcm cover I think, havent seen one in awhile.

Actually the calibration update for the module was for excessive cycling, not compressor run on and you can only flash the modules on the older single stage compressor units. If you attempt a reflash on the newer 2 stage units you will kill the module.

If the compressor was running with key off the reprogram will not correct this issue. What codes were stored in the module for them to come to this conclusion they should be documented on the repair order. May have had more than one problem but i still think you are going to need a relay to fix the problem of the compressor running with the key off.

Mine did the same thing. Humtech provided the answer---bad relay. Cost about $35 and 5 minutes. Your relay is on top of the front left frame rail.
