2008 H2 Nav System

Does anyone know if the new 2008 H2 AM FM CD NAV System will fit into earlier H2's to replace current NAV?

Just based on what I can recall from my 06 I dont think that the 08 nav will be a plug and play replacement for the pre 08 nav systems. Maybe partsguy can chime in on this one.

Can you play CDs while GPS is working on the 2008?

The 2008 model navi screen looks to be too big to fit in the Double DIN opening on the 2007 and previous models. You would have to fab up a new waterfall bezel to accomodate it (if you even have enough room) also keep in mind rear/side dimensions behind the existing bezel. You would be better off going with a aftermarket Double DIN head unit than trying to fabricate parts to accomodate the 08 up unit.

Yes you can. The 08 system has a separate drive for the nav dvd. The screen tilts down to access the nav drive. Pretty slick. Its a great system. I love it!
