Holy chit!

Just had HR confirm this and it kinda hit home.

Matthew Murray, the kid that just shot up everyone at the two Colorado churches.....we just fired him a few months ago.

He was VERY ****ing strange and everyone that worked around him commented on it. He was a refurb PC tech and did not talk to anyone. Listened to some REALLY hard core music, wore crazy ass shirts all the time with many of them referencing rape.

From what I knew of him, he was your typical little geek computer kid. His father was a rich doctor, and he was home schooled his whole life. He was twenty some years old, and his mother still made him wear khackis to work everyday, only he works in a part of the warehouse that gets 90 degrees plus and EVERYONE wears shorts to work until the snow kicks in

Some of the guys tried to get through to him. I remember seeing him at a party, remember watching him have his first beer, all that kind of stuff......

anyhow...when he was fired everyone was scared of him because if remarks he had made about coming back and shooting everyone up.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened, but glad it didn't happen here at the office because this kid was weird, crazy, and obviously ****ed up :twak:

So why did you fire him?

Imagine what might not have happened if someone spoke up back then?

But then it most likely would have been blown off by the professionals anyways.

It does make you wonder about people and at what point they snap.

Fricken shame aint it....

He worked on some ****ty little computer units. Many of them had to have the motherboards replaced and troubleshooting them was a major pain in the ass.....(FIC JUNK).......

He was to get 15 refurbed each day. Had issues with one of the units and got pissed. He took it out back, went to throw it in the dumpster in the rear of the building, missed the dumpster, and hit a FED EX delivery truck that was driving by.....

Long story short........he snapped because he could not figure out a computer...

That is so weird.

Count your blessings Moon, obviously he has been :notallthere: for awhile.

I haven't read the story yet, I knew about the incidents but didn't know they caught him. I'll go check now.

Holy crap thats wild! Its a shame that when people such as him snap that they take innocent lives with them. Its always ironic to me that they kill others then kill themselves. And his whole modus operandi was to become famous?!?! One hell of a way to get recognition.

My thoughts and prayers are out to the families that had the misfortune of having loved ones in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The only blessings out of this are more people were not killed and he is dead and did not have the vision to do something grander. Douche Bag. Just kill your self. Burn In Hell. You and the Devil can Bs about how much you ate Christians as you roast in an eternal lake of fire bitch.

Everybody here ought to know that when Mother F*****s spout off about shooting anything or anybody it's best to actually suck it up and inform Johnny Law as soon as you get the chance.

I'm not placing blame this crackhead was in a nosedive!

People just need to be aware that "strange ****" coming outta someone's mouth usually equates to "strange ****" happening to people that don't deserve it!

You know I've got to agree here. Its almost like the TSA rule in the airport if you say bomb you are going to get investigated.

We've told our daughter the very same thing, if she hears people talk like this to notify us and we'll make contact with the appropriate LEO.

I almost forgot...THE SAME RULE APPLIES TO THE SUPERFREAK THREATENING "SUICIDE"

I've learned all too late that too many of the fukers actually do it.

Somebody says they were thinking/kidding fuk-em make the call.

Now I can go to sleep.

Upper management was informed...but no need to call the cops. He didn't shout it out loud or start going nuts here at the office. It was after he was fired we learned of comments he had made throughout his employment.

Plenty of people make these types of remarks in the workplace. He is the second person to be fired from my company alone for acting crazy and or remarks that were made that made people uncomfortable to work around. In the computer world it seems I've seen more lonely, goofy, picked on, and attention starved MEN then I have even seen in my life. We would not have any employees left if management was to go around and report people for saying inappropriate things. If it gets out of control then it gets escalated, but simply being weird is not a crime.

Now......I agree that when someone mentions something about coming back and shooting the place up something should be done.

I was not clear cut enough.....the employees here were not scared for their life.....word just got around that he had said some remarks. Never saw the kid or spoke to him after he was fired......

About strange coming out of people's mouths.....I hear ****ed up and strange **** come out of people's mouths all the time. You dont just assume that everyone has the capability to run into a building/church/mall and start spraying mother****ers with bullets.........

...the kid was nuts and I can see FIRST HAND how easy it is and or would be to overlook these types of kids. I didn't sleep over at his house for a pajama party, never flew remote airplanes with him, and never fished with kid.....But afterwards it is easy to look back and put pieces together that point out just how weird and messed up he really was.

It sounds as if he was controlled pretty tightly by his parents and just popped.

I dunno what the police/anyone could have done. Honestly.

Maybe if it was documented specific threat- they maybe would have looked into it. Nothing would have happened anyway.

Hindsight is always an easy thought.

Yup, it's your fault Moonie. Please.

What could the police have done?

I love how in situations like these it's always someone elses fault. Our society always places the blame elsewhere. It's so commonly ridiculous.

"It's the music, the video games, it's the internet...."

Now we are taking it a step further....It's Cho's teachers, it's his religion, somebody must have touched his bunghole when he was little.....

Now his ex-coworkers should have known?? Gimme a break.

"911"

"Yes, I just fired some guy and he was upset and said he wants to kill me"

"Has he called or come back to your location?"

"no"

"Did he have a weapon?"

"no"

"Do you want to get a restraining order?"

Seriously.

Look around at some of the freaks you work with tomorrow- or clients or friends...are you going to feel responsible if they go batsh1t crazy??

It's the freak that pulled the trigger- no one else.

You can't foresee these things.

By strange $hit I mean something like:

"....I'm going to kill people...." or "....I'm going to shoot people...." or possibly "....all you people are dead...." in essence "going postal."

That's all I meant.

Again, my 2 pesos.

Notice how the news always mentions now what CD's or video games the person had. I have all the same ones, does that mean I'm going to go all posta...........ummmm, bad example. Carry on.

I really didn't see anyone pointing the finger of blame in this thread, but while were on the subject, philosophically speaking, I believe its the mothers fault.

Yeah, it seems whenever something goes wrong, a pregnant chick usually had her hand in it somehow....
