I just had my cell phone stolen today. I left it in a store and walked out to my car. I realized it immediately and walked back into the store to get it. To make a long story short..... A woman found my phone and gave it to people at the counter. 2 minutes after that some young teenager walked up and said "hey, I left my blue Motorola KRZR. Have you seen it?" They handed my phone over to her.
So..........
I was in a rush. I ran over to the AT&T store and suspended my phone. Then a quick bought and iPhone. I haven't set it up yet.
What are the coolest things it can do? Where to I get free software? Is there any? I bought it mostly so I can surf the web while I'm in meetings and at the airport.

okay, there is free software you can completly change everything around ill get the site for you my friend has it, be aware however if something goes wrong it voids the warranty if you do that, but 99% of the time you can restore to factory settings, so theyll never know you did it. Some cool things you can do with it is mess with teh ipod function turn it sideways every body gets a kick out of that. Being able to do the spread/pinch zoom and un-zoom. chhh truthfully there isnt anything that isnt kick as$ about that phone, if you need any help with it let me know there isnt anything i dont know how to do on it. I would highly recommened a case though, becuase if youd orp it without one the two layered glass gets uneven and then when you press like the number 0, 7 will come up instead becuase everything is out of wack. and also i would get one of the crystal clear film covers for it so the screen doesnt get scratched, and you cant even notice that screen is on it and provides goot protection.
You bought an iPhone....:giggling:

Post up that link or pm me with it as well. We love ours the wifey and I have one and we use them non-stop. I have had a BB and a Blackjack and hated both and ended up going back with a latest Razor until we got the iphones.
I cant say enough about them as in being able to do some much with a dang phone, and its cool the way you do it as well.
The ONLY complaint I have about the phone/apple thing is that its married to using itunes only (not that big of a deal) and you cant sms an image. OR I havent figured out how to take a pic and send it via SMS to another phone. I can email them but not to another phone...

Oh yeah... I'm definitely loving it. I'm not exactly sure how I ever lived without one, actually.
I've found another excellent use for the iPhone - The bathroom. Forget hauling a newspaper to the stall. Pull out the trusty iPhone and do the dump-n-surf. You gotta love that.

The phone bill stays the same, plus $20/mo for unlimited web access and 200 SMS messages.
Before I had a $5.99 SMS adder to my bill so I could text DRTY all the time while I try to find a wife for him. I dropped that. So, +$20 -$6 = $14 net addition to my old plan. That's nothing.

Isnt that odd, as thats the EXACT thing we said once we got ours! I litterally feel as if - how in the heck did I get along in the world without that phone now.
If it were taken away I think i would need some serious counseling. :giggling:

I have one and love it - though one major word of warning - if you go overseas turn off the data transfer - DO NOT surf the web or check email - I was diving in the Cayman Islands a couple of weeks ago and left the bloody thing on - it kept downloading emails through digital roaming - the $574.00 bill that I recieved a couple of days ago was a shock. ATT did refund half of the roaming fee when I called up and threw a fit but the bill is still $300.

Yeah that's an important point, turn the digital roam off in the general settings on the phone. Call ATT in the US before you go on a trip to allow international roaming , which is so you can make and receive calls to US when abroad for 99 cent a minute. This is a big pain in the but to do once you have traveled outside of the US....... especially when they speak messican where you a going. Also be advised that ATT customer service is closed on Sundays so don't leave it to the last minute if your flying out on a Sunday or Monday. They have other calling plans that make sense if your going to be abroad for awhile but for a week I'll pay 99 cent for the few calls I'd need. Use the wifi in foreign hotels to get your email and surf. It works great.

I was in the Caymans on December 7th, were you there then?
What a place, I could live there.
Did you see the Private Yacht owned by one of the Microsoft Geeks and all his toys, they took over the Island and the Ritz Carlton, Rich Bastads

iPhone Edge is faster than 3G on most mobile devices anyway. It is the way Apple has implemented the software. Wait until the 3G iPhone is out and then you will see fast.

that happened with me i was in germany two weeks for wakeskating/wakeboarding having to do like interviews and stuff, and we called at&t and they told us the ony excess charge I would have was texts, we got the bill and i got data roaming fee that waslik 1,000 bucks we called had a fit got raelly pissed off and they refunded all of our money for that, plus took off some of the texting fee, this was like 2 weeks after it came out so they didnt want customers upset.
