Hey All,

At this weekend's Hummer Happening in Detroit (ok Oxford, as Detroit isn't much for trails ;-) I cracked the inner portion of the drivers side wheel well. Probably about 2" long from outer edge (this is the plastic part not the fender flare). Really a nothing thing, had I not been scrubbing on my hands and knees I would have never saw it.

Any ideas of this is a warranty part? This is my first real off road vehicle and it clearly looks like the tire (stock 33") caught the edge of the plastic on a turn.

Obviously I'm not going to throw a fit about the stuff I scratched (front tow hooks) but this one seems questionable to me.

Thanks,

D

Are you positive that it wasn't that way when you got it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

In all honesty it could have been. It is really small, and on a supervised trail there really wasn't anything that should have done it. (Plus by luck of the draw, the guy who sold it to me followed me on trails ;-)

Like I said, if I abuse it and bust it, I have no qualms of stepping up to pay for it, but this one I just don't think I did crazy at the event!

Thanks,
D

Either way, sure hurt to have damage on such a new truck even if you have to search for it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Hopefully the dealer will take care of it.

I've attached a photo below. I also talked to my dealership and since it is so new (370 miles) they are going to try to go for warranty.
