TUFF COUNTRY LIFT OR RANCHO FOR H3

Was wondering if anyone has installed a Tuff Country lift on a H3. The cost for the kits is a big difference.

i have installed the rancho lift on my 2006 H3 with RS9000x Pro Series Shock Absorbers, and i love it. it gives your humme a much beefer look and the ride is the same if not better than before. it also greatly improves your off road ability

I like my Rancho, its a soft ride and a nice look. Just wondering If i can get 37's on there with only a ten in wide tire... hmmmm.

Please explain the differences in style between the two.

It's amazing what you can find out at the SEMA show. We have the Tuff Country on ours. The Rancho you have to cut on the frame. The Tuff Country you don't. You have a little more clearance with the Tuff vs the Rancho. With the Tuff Country you get a true 4 1/2" of lift. Your able to run 35" tires. The Rancho takes about 4 hours longer to install because of all the modifying you have to do.

Where? According to their install instructions (http://www.gorancho.com/html/install/install/hummer/88558f.pdf), the only modifications are to the skid plates, filing one of the crossmembers, and drilling holes for the front bumpstop brackets. Articles I have seen about the install also do not mention any cutting.

Have you installed these kits before? We have installed both. Unless your a welder and fabricator, you won't pull it out of the box and install it. All manufactures make it sound simple. They want you to buy there product.

Nope. And since most people don't install them themselves there isn't much info on the process, which is why I asked the question. I'd like to get more details instead of the usual response of people just saying one lift is better because that's what they bought (like krazeehum :rolleyes:).

If you have installed both kits and have details about the install and real-life comparisons, I'm sure lots of people on here would be interested in hearing your opinon. Especially since I know you actually wheel your rigs.
