Okay...let me start by saying that I am not the let's-see-how-much-chrome-I-can-put-on-my-Hummer, Hummer guy. I enjoy the factory look of the vehicle so PLEASE do not point me to gstyle4u.com.

What I am looking for is a product (or mod) to replace the rear louvers on the back of my H2 (each side of the rear window, above the tail lights) with handles. For those of you having difficulty picturing this, think about the Jeep Commander. Given the height of the vehicle grip-points to reach the top are a necessity and they could also serve as tie-down points when I'm carrying taller items on my hitch-mounted, cargo shelf.

Thoughts?

Good Reasoning, but HUM-BOB will be disapointed in you.:giggling: ;)

Great idea, but I've never seen them. I also never had mine off, but if the louvers are held by plastic and metal clips to the truck, I imagine that's why. Handles would need something stronger to mount to.

You may not know it but those louvers are functional. They do have handles that go in the rails:

What are the louvers functional for?

Functional? For what? Venting heat off the tail lights?

Cabin vent. Pull them off and you'll find a filter.
