I went with a group of FJ's out to wheel on the Eglin Air Force Base Resevation and had a great time. I wasnt really expecting much as this is Florida but jumped at the oppertunity to get off pavement. It was more fun than i expected with several off camber tight situations, deep water crossings(which previously i had never entertained) and a couple spots which almost required a locker. Unfortunately it was freezing cold at 40deg during the day and mid 20s at night but we ended up with a nice fire and some awesome gumbo one of the guys cooked up and some bay shrimp--there is something to be said about very good, hot trail grub. Anyway here are some shots.

Before you are allowed on the reservation you must get a pass which you must watch a video about unexploded devices to obtain. They have miles and miles and miles of trails and apparently you never know what you are going to come upon:

I live in the SanDestin Area. Make sure you bring the kids out to the mardi gras(on Fat Tuesday) parade in Baytowne. We use my truck as a float every year and its a kick.

This is is north west Florida, just east of Pensacola. More specificly it is roughly 6 miles south of the intersetction of I-10 and hwy 87. If you guys want to get a group together to go out here it would be a good time. Good news it is close to Destin so you can vacation while you wheel.

Are you planning to all of a sudden "wheel" my truck when I'm gone? That's funny. You'd better stick to your Bug.

Nice pics boss! Looks like some decent wheeling for FLA std's! Lets do a trip up to gray rock or river rock this year Tellico is closed until April I hear and slickrock is closed indefinatley at this point. We may have been the only h2's ever to go up that.
