I'm installing a Pioneer AVICZ2 GPS unit and just opened my my GMOS 04 harness and was looking through the instructions and the second step is to connect the red wire coming from the 24 pin adapter to the radios Ignition wire, the problem is the 24 pin adaptor does not have a red wire coming from it ? Am I just not understanding something or did they forget to put the wire in, can I add it myself and if so where as there do not seem to be any empty pins on the 24 pin adaptor ? Except for this step everything seems to be very easy and straight forward.

i didnt use the gmos in mine, so i cant help you but do a search for the avic z1 install and see if its covered in there. thats what i used to install my z2

dang thats weird. my harness doesnt have a red one either. the one I used was from one I bought off ebay 2 years ago and the actual gmos was bad. I bought a new one from crutchfield in february and used the same old harness with new unit. maybe they changed it
