I want to hook up an external amp and add a pair of subs, so I wanted to run a line out converter but am unsure which wires to use.

Here is what you need for a nice clean install. I tried tapping the rears (back by the gate) for a signal and it did not get the low stuff. I ended up ordering a interface which lets tap the signal at the back of the head unit, this unit is completely plug and play and works great, have it installed in my H2 and the Z06...... its amazing how much better the factory system sounds with just adding a sub. Good Luck:beerchug:

What I did was buy a line out converter, splice into the rear speakers. Then ran the power for the amp, conected to "Blue" remote wire to the fuse box and then Added a 12" Kicker....sounds fantastic and didn't need to pull the radio out or take apart the center console.

OOPS, my bad, I posted this in the wrong thread. I reposted in the Neucleus "ultimate Ipod install" thread.

--------------------------------------------------------

My axxess unit recently broke, so I replaced it with the Neucleus unit.

I got a unit last week from Logjam, it had terrible engine noise. I was referred to tech support a Neucleus. I was told they were aware of the problem with recent batch of units, and that I could get a new unit, with a fix, by the end of the week from Logjam. I got the new unit and installed it yesterday, no engine noise, so I thought that life was good. The interface and installation are far superior than my former Axxess unit, plus the benefit of having an aux input to share between a Sat Tv, DVD, and game console.

Unfortunately, during 2.5 hours of driving today, I had the brake warning come on and a random chiming incident. I had not seen this thread before my purchase. It is a shame that such a great product is plagued by this problem. I will call Neucleus tomorrow to register my problems.

There seems to be several ways to wire up an Amp/Sub....
