We had great viewing weather in Kansas tonight, but damn cold (13?, or so) for the first half of the eclipse but then cloud cover moved in.

For Christmas we got our sons a telescope that finds and tracks objects automatically (from a drop down menu, uploaded, or coordinates). It kept the Moon centered perfectly through the whole thing. I had a plastic telescope with cheap plastic lenses growing up, so this thing is light-years ahead.

I've been watching the updates on the satellite that's coming down, but the angles are too low to see from home with all the light pollution and it's too cold to hoof it out to the sticks.

NC checken in here. It was great besides for the few Bruce Almighty clouds that kept meandering through the view.

We had a totally clear sky in Omaha. It was awesome!! It's about 5 degrees here tonight though, so no outside viewing!

I saw it, it was gorgeous. About 57 degrees with pretty clouds but they were moving fast enough it never obstructed the view much. Good excuse to run out to Starbucks and open up the sunroof. :)

Damm I missed it - after my 23rd whisky I was completely incapable - I thought I was watching it but then realised that it was a patio table blocking my entire view of the sky:D

Good excuse to run out to Starbucks and open up the sunroof. :)

I hit Starbucks daily until my Wife bought us a Sirena, a grinder and all the gadgets. Now we've got a full blown expresso bar set up in the kitchen and it's awesome.

I think the whole set-up cost around $650 bucks but we'll pay that off in savings in a few months and the taste and quality is much better. Best of all, no waiting in line!
