Noticed something strange yesterday while at the dealership

Went to look for H3 yesterday at another dealership ( since the first one won't help me find what I want) and noticed only Green H3's had the factory brushgaurd and tube steps. i want a Slate Blue H3 optioned like that w/roof off road lights. The other dealer ship had one that was green also. What's up with green h3's being ordered like this?

That's just a particular dealer’s choice. Both the brushguard and the steps are dealer installed options.

Are you talking about the factory Hummer brushgaurd/tube steps?
The other dealership really did misinform me.

You can order the brushguard and steps with the vehicle, and it comes as labeled on the MSRP as "dealer installed." This is the least expensive way to order these accessories, since they are considered RPAs, and the price for the part(s) is figured by GM, and the installation is based upon actual labor time studies performed by GM.
If you order them after the fact, they are then called dealer installed accessories, and the dealer can charge you whatever they wish for both the part and the installation.
Either way, they are installed at the dealership, not at the plant.

Yea I noticed something strange at the local dealership last weekend and it was too much H3 inventory. The Stevens Creek showroom and lot was crammed with Hummers and the sales guy said they had 24 more H3s in back. Buyers market for sure. Enjoy if you are shopping.

Well i've been shopping. just can't find what I want. it seems that dealers in the Houston area want to get rid of what's on the lot and don't want to order anything special. I was told at one dealership that it would take 3 months+ to get a H3 with the options I want. Does anyone know of one within 300 miles of Houston with these options?
