INMHO, after owning several Hummers I would buy only the following MT tires below. A/T's are a whole diff world but M/T's are limited in my opinion.

Toyo Open Country MT- Had two sets of these!
PROS- Quiet, great in rain, mudd and snow most.
CONS- They wear very quickly and have a not so aggresive side wall tread.

BFG MT- Had one set of these!
PROS- They are a very strong tire.
CONS- They wear very quickly and have a not so aggresive side wall tread, not so good in snow or rain.

Mickey Thompson Baja Claw- Had 3 sets of these.
PROS- Quiet, Great in Mudd and Deep Snow. Look most aggressive for a M/T and have a great wide sidewall tread.
CONS- Just OK in rain and snow... slide a bit where the Toyos did not.

I Have 35x12.5x18 Kumho Venture MT's. I am selling them all 5 for $850 and you pay shipment I am in Mass. with only 200 miles on them. I just got a new job and driving on the highway alot more. These tires are pretty quiet on the road for MT but they look great. I am trying to figure out how to post a picture of them. any help. If interested let me know private email is gjknack@aol.com

The red H3 has BFG MTs

It has Toyos in the first pic. ;)

I love the Toyos. I'm getting great mileage out of them, they're pretty quiet for an MT, they're siped, and they perform well on and off road. Another tire I might consider is the new BFG KM2's. They're awesome offroad, and super sessy :D, but probably not as good on-road as the Toyos.

From what I've been reading in tire tech the new BFG MT ko 2s or whatever they are, are kicking the arse of every tire on the market. Toyo's MT would be my other choice.

I wouldn't even bother with 35's then, and just stick with an AT tire.

normally i wouldnt go that route either...but i want to fill that wheel well up more. i have the standard 32'' with the chrome 16'' wheels...but i want to fill 'er up some more...but would rather not sacrifice ride comfort, if thats even possible

Speaking of the reg BFG's...

Took the silver one in to the tire shop yesterday (Moms w/ 8400 miles/26 months)

3 tires with problems... total of 3 nail, 2 drywall screws, 1 BIG hole caused by a 45cal shell casing, Hummer Roadside assistance used a total 0f 6 plugs +++

lucky all were in flat of tread and not side wall...$24 and a $5 tip to the kid...40 psi in all and shes off galavanting around this morning...

Shes still gotta be the OLDEST HUMMER DRIVER on a regular basic...shes a young 82...and only 5' tall

shopping for tires at the moment aswell. I have the front leveled (24.25 in from axle center to fender), want to run stock rims, and want to make sure a 35" (315/75/R16) tire will fit under there. Tire dealers keep saying it wont or they dont know. Anyone out there running this tire size on stock rims with no lift, just leveled???
looking at Toyo Open Country M/T, BFG KM2, Mickey Thompson Baja Claw or Baja MTZ Radial.

Anyone know if these in a 315/75/16 will fit a leveled H3???
