Hey all, I was hoping a few of you would post some phots of your rigs with Thule roof racks. I'm trying to get an idea of what it will look like with mine.

I am planning on having a thule basket with a MTB mount on each side. not sure if it will all fit.

Thanks

hi mancil...

i bought the thule xpedition rack #696 (the largest one the offered). it looked great on my H3. unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you view it) i traded in the h3 last week for an h2.

i still have the rack if you are interested. it was on truck for 2 months.

link to basket:

rack was able to carry plenty. hauled 2 large duffles along with full size cooler several times. let me know if interested. i am in zip code 20152 for reference on shipping if interested.

Congrates on the new H2, As much as I would like to take the rack off your hands I'm going to have to pass right now. I'm saving up every penny I have to put down on a 2007 H3. My goal is to have about 20k to put for when I buy it.

you wouldn't happen to know if you had enough room got a velo vice on each side of that rack?

Thanks

Don't know if this might help. They are great, though a little small. Can't tell from the pic very well but there is a hi-lift jack bolted on the inside of the basket. Ask H3 Hummer, I think thats his rig or H3 Wannabe's.

Hey nice picture. Yeah, that is mine - works great. You can get an extra extender piece for $100.00 more. So about $375 total. Works great but expect 1 MPG less.

do you think you could still get the bike mounts on each side of the basket?

thanks !

You could get one by pushing it over but I don't think two. But... the Thule rack comes with bars that go across the top. So you could put the bike bars on the racks cross bars. It would just be real tall.

I have a YAKIMA rack, what I have done is to buy longer cross bars so that I can mount the bicycle racks off to the side's of the basket. now I just need to get my load warrior basket! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
