I thought windshields were a N/C repair by the insurance companies...

I had 3 chips repaired then gave up ,insurance dont like a lot of claims so I have 3 others that I didnt repair (dozens of small spec chips and thousands of super small specs),so far no cracks and no bullseyes in drivers view.
I'll wait for a good crack then replace.
http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/images/icons/icon4.gif Check search there was a thread saying theres a special tool to remove the lower cowel(wipers, cowels and trim have to be removed,it said use proper tool otherwise a bad installer could damage lower cowel)http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/images/icons/icon4.gif
I would ask if they have done it before and keep a eye on the installer.
Tell them you want a factory GM glass.
Get used to it. H2 owner have the smae problem.

Do any of you have the marker lights?
I was going to have the marker lights installed at the dealer.
But I also have to have the windshield replaced....
I'm thinking that the company replacing the windsheild might have problems when trying to remove the marker lights. You know, the spinning nuts.
Anybody run into this problem when having the windsheild replaced?
Thanks in advance.
