There's a company in the mid-west that's been doing this as a swap. I checked with them last summer. A cool 15 grand to do it though. If someone would just give us a stinkin manual transmission with the 8 cylinder we'd be set!

Aren't they both the same size externally?

yes. 4.8,5.3,6.0,6.2...all the same ls1 configuration.
Best part about the Alha H3 is the cast iron front diff, IMO.

The LS1 small block v8 is bored and stroked to fit all those configurations. Amazing!
The big block 7.4 liter. Heard that product is going away. At least in new production. Any truth to that rumor mill item?

The engineering truck also had a rancho lift on it...they like to play around with stuff - but you never know what, if anything, will ever be considered for production.

You should see the accessories they're designing for the bed. Slantback by SnugTop, with integrated roof rails. Sliding bed tray and utility drawers. Etc, etc.

He should just be happy people were there (and willing) to help out when he sliced open his tire on Golden Spike. I had visions of him trying to get the spare off the back, dropping it, and watching it go bounding off into the canyon. :OWNED:
You'd have to show up to see the accessories they're designing for the bed. Slantback by SnugTop, with integrated roof rails. Sliding bed tray and utility drawers. Etc, etc. too bad you couldn't make it. againFXT :D :D

In fact I named him ~lurch. He drove like a L.A. gangster trying to pass everyone on the trail. What about those stupid comments on the CB?:soapbox: getmestarted.
