Then you've never had the Apalachicola Bay oysters (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9B0DEEDB133CF936A25755C0A9649C8B 63). LOL

"Food experts around the country say it is the natural mellowness and plumpness of the Apalachicola oyster that makes many people agree on their superiority. Lying in a half shell, the oysters are the same slate-gray color as the water that nurtured them, water colored by the warm $HIT that washes into the bay from the rivers to the north."
I'm not a big fan of river sewage coated oysters....
But then again that was from:
"Food critics and restaurant owners from Miami and New Orleans say Apalachicola Bay oysters are among the finest in the world, if not the finest."
Karsun
03-26-2008, 08:25 PM
Apalachicola Bay is considered one of the cleanest estuaries and most productive marine ecosystems in North America. The Apalachicola Bay oyster is a big part of the local economy and the bay produces 90% of Florida?s oysters and 10% of the nation?s supply.

Mmm-mmm good!

Chew them they taste awesome, you'll never ever swallow an oyster whole again! At least the NWP's taste awesome, I mean really fresh! Just a little squeeze of lemon and a dash of spicy coctail sauce! The only thing making em better is a slow shot of vodka wrapped around them!

Well, it's not always the same. If they are REALLY big ones, I do a quick bite, then swallow. If they are small to medium, I chew about 4 chews, then swallow. Sometimes those big ones are mindboggling to me. I start thinking about that big, slippery glob and I just automatically swallow. The lemon and hot sauce is perfect on them. I had only a dozen tonight, but they were chilled JUST right .. very fresh. Used a Meyer lemon and a dot of extra hot sauce with extra horseradish. Heaven. ;)

Sore as hell this morning after getting in an accident last night at work. I was in the back of the ambulance taking someone to the hospital when some doped up douchebag ran a red light and hit us. I flew forward and hit the cabinets in the back. His buddy grabbed the dope and ran after the wreck...unfortunately for the driver, he forgot to take his pipe with him. It was siting in plain voew on the passenger seat. Asshat is under house arrest and has a ton of drug convictions...shouldn't have even been driving. Cops strung him up good. At least the pt didn't get hurt in the wreck. Time for some muscle relaxers and a nap.

A joke for today. :)
In a mental institution a nurse walks into a room and sees a patient acting like he's driving a car.
The nurse asks him, "Charlie, what are you doing?"
Charlie replied, "Driving to Chicago!"
The nurse wishes him a good trip and leaves the room.
The next day the nurse enters Charlie's room just as he stops driving his imaginary car and asks, "Well Charlie, how are you doing?"
Charlie says, "I just got into Chicago."
"Great," replied the nurse.
The nurse leaves Charlie's room and goes across the hall into Bob's room, and finds Bob sitting on his bed furiously pleasuring himself.
Shocked, she asks, "Bob, what are you doing?"
Bob says, "I'm screwing Charlie's wife while he's in Chicago!"

I fricken knew it from all the way over here in Seattle.
It was in the way you "splained" it!
The "Ju" took a 3 day weekend from me. To this day I still don't remember anything. $hit I'm still worried that pictures might surface of me surrounding that weekend...and that was 25 years ago!
Like the Dalai Lama says "...the "Ju" should be drank in moderation..."!

Man, the longer a girl stays away.... the men resort to tossing salad.:crying:
j/k
That and Andy's quote about another drink "going down like the devil in velvet trousers" are some of my favorite elcovan posts.:D
Whoa there girl! :giggling:
There's a big difference between "tossing salad" and having the alcohol in Soju burn the meat off of a person's backside.
The quickest way to lose the "onion" is to start drinking Soju!
I have the sneaky suspicion that there are a few other experienced "Soju" drinkers on this forum that probably won't admit it either!

ROFLOL ... I have no idea what all this is about. When I saw "SOJU", it took me back to my days in Miami when the Cuban folks would greet me and say, "So, ju like it in Miami?" :giggling: Is soju a beverage?

Most military members that have been to Korea and either have the balls to admit it or the stupidity to try it -- because production is not always regulated by the government -- find it to be an alcoholic beverage of roughly 90 proof. Or higher depending on who produced it. Kind of like past Absinthe production.
That fuking "Ju" from the South Korean back alleys -- and that's the only time I'd ever say that cause it sounds really bad -- not only takes a person's brain cells and memories, but over time, consumption steals the meat off a persons ass!
A friend of mine once described it as "being able to brag about having a frontal labotomy without the scar to prove it!"
Bad juju!

Tell me about it - I have just been updated on Tuesday night - apparently they found me at 0330hrs lying in a pile of rubble in a demolition site - i must have fallen off of the sidewalk and thought "hmmm this is comfy".
No more Soju.

Soju has a lot to do with the way that I feeling right now - I am steering clear of that sh1t after last night - oh and I am also probably not going to eat too many more boiled caterpillars either:eek:
Oh yeah, I almost forgot...try the yaki-mon-du! Now that is some good $hit! I remember buying it from street vendors, think it was a buck a bag. Looks like those little deep fried pizza rolls. It is good though!
I remember after the soju week-ender I was turned onto a bottle of Oscar. Couple of bucks. Worked really well getting rid of the Ju hangover. I think there was grape and orange. Definately distilled the same day! That $hits pretty good too.

Then I wake up before they start counting it. Really crappy day at school all day long. Karsuns anal fixation had me ROFL though! I had tears in my eyes laughing so hard! You must be on semesters. I'm on quarters. Had a great 8 days of spring sat around in my underware, drinking beer, and watched soaps.

I wanted to try because everyone I know personally who has tried it, it worked. You're my first that it didn't. :( Sorry it didn't work, it's too soon for me to tell yet. I do have the nausea big time! The dreams are vivid but no nightmares yet. I figure it's worth a try but we'll see.

Our son thought the ceiling fan was his first friend, too. ROFLOL! What else can they look at since they are basically immobile! If you don't have a ceiling fan in their bedroom, then I guess it could be a splotch of paint on the ceiling! We even named it for him .. "Mr. Fan-ny".

my 10 month old grandson gets sooooo excited when he sees the fan in our living room. he runs over in his walker and raises both arms up and does a "gimmie" motion with both hands. It really is cute.

A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, 'Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.'
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?'
'Oh, I don't know,' said the stranger 'How about nuclear power?' and he smiles.
'OK, ' she said. 'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass - . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'
The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea.'
To which the little girl replies, 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shlt?
