Is this a technical question? :)
Anyway, I wonder which product you all prefer for lubing the hinges and squeaky parts on the Hummer (or any vehicle). I remember being told by one auto parts store to use silicone because it doesn't attract dirt like lithium.
But then last week on Motorweek, Pat Goss (mechanic tech) gave suggestions on lubing hinges etc, with lithium, and he said to wipe silicone spray on the rubber parts to keep them lubricated. That one I'd never heard of.
From previous posts in here, I've taken the advice and use Back To Black for black plastic parts on my 3. But I was wondering what you all used for a hinge lub.

I spray everything first with silcone then go over most everything with a white lithium(you dont want to put WL in your key holes.)

They are both good lubes. The grease will attract dirt. But on recessed hinges its not really a issue. With either if you over do it wipe excess off...
