We were in Walmart last night and saw a Journey concert which was awesome. I immediately had to find out which one and get it but as we got closer to the tv sets we realized it wasn't Steve Perry. It's a new lead singer. He sounds almost like Steve Perry that we didn't realize till we saw him. Here's a promo so you can hear for yourself. That's not even the best one for his voice, the other songs were even more like Perry.

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaErYd_kSCo) link shows both bands with Perry and the new guy

and

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at8Gp1x6Soc&feature=related) one is all the new guy

Wow, Journey really has fallen on some tough times if they're doing concerts in Walmarts.

FWIW, I heard them on XM8 today.

No the set with the DVD is exclusive to Walmart but I heard that Target is getting it and it's on Amazon. Just the DVD is the Walmart part.

I think it's concert footage like the Eagles that always played at Sam's Club but was an actual concert.

Did you know that the new guy "Arnel Pineda" is from the Philipines and he was found on "YouTube" by the band while they were searching for a new lead vocalist. They heard him singing a few of their songs and thought he was a fake, so they invited him to their studio and flew him out to meet with them. he sang a few songs and his likeness to Perry was so amazing it blew their socks off! They immediately offered him a touring contract and...well the rest is history.

LOVE Journey! Yeah - that new guy sounds awesome! Didn't think they'd ever find anyone to compete with Steve Perry.

I just can't get over them doing concerts at Walmart. It makes me want to go buy an album to help them out.

I done 'splained that. They didn't do a Walmart concert, the DVD is exclusive to Walmart. The Eagles did it recently as well and there's another band I'm trying to think of.

OMG you're killing me. LOL I think they did concerts then worked out a deal to have them shown there or something. They didn't do the concerts FOR Walmart but having seen Gene Simmons' business sense, if he could make a bunch of money doing it, he'd do it. I remember buying the Fleetwood Mac concert DVD cause I saw them on the tv's at the Bose store. I think it's brilliant advertising.
