Just got a mailing from my dealer. Buy an H3 by june 30 and take $6000 off the price (5K rebate, 1K discount). So I guess Gm is offering a 5K rebate these days? Anyone else get this?
And, if you own a non GM get another 500 off. ya know 2 years ago when I bought the H3, it was all about loyalty cash- if you owned a GM get some extra $ off. Now that I own a GM, they give you $ for NOT owning a GM product! :)
Letter doesnt say anything about H2. Sorry. :)

a few days back local dealership advertised major discounts - $8000 off any H3 (and Yukon) on the lot... hmm it's tempting but I guess that they'd give me like $12k for my H3 trade-in to offset it.. good prices for those who don't have SUV as trade-in though

With the price of fuel they are in bad shape moving the inventory...

When I bought my H3 in May of 2005 it was $500 over sticker (I still miss that shadow metallic green color). I was just glad to have my hands on one. They went off the lot like rain on a tin roof that summer and had waiting lists. With fuel prices, today's H3 and H2 deals are bargains, and the new ones have the kinks worked out, BUT I never regretted the premium I paid to have one of the first, because I easily got that much fun out of it! In the summer of 2005, you just didn't see H3s on the road or off road. When you consider the price cuts, you can pay for a lot of fuel with the money saved on the bargains they are wheeling and dealing!

This is the way I look at it...If someone gave me an H2,I mean gave me one,I just could not afford to run it.What is the sense of buying a vehicle like that, even with all those rebates?

both? copy and paste please. If that's the case, you get a supplier cert. + 7K= $11,500 off a loaded Alpha + ZERO %. Damn, that's a good deal if you can get both. I've nver seen them offer both though. Usually either cash back OR ZERO %.

Just bought my 3rd H3 today. It's either 0% or $7000, not both. But great deals. $9000 off a base puts the H3 starting at $23-24k with 4yr/50,000 bumper to bumper+Hummer service. That's incredible!!! Discounts go up from there to the Alpha pricing model that Timgco referenced.

..good for new buyers, but bad news for current owners -the depreciation of my model is probably over 60% within one year (so my H3 is possibly only worth some 40% of originally paid price)..hmm. Well I'm keeping mine, at least until the dual locker model is out. Or we could take advantage of the situation while the offers are up? - I guess if I go to dealer today I can bring home new Alpha for trade-in plus extra $15k or so.

Fuel affordability is not a factor. It's an H2 thing. You wouldn't understand.
They could give me an H3 for free and I'd be too embarrassed to put it in my driveway let alone drive it.:clapping:

Hey everybody, thanks to this forum, I've been great info from you.
I am ready to buy a 2008 Graphite metallic H3 on saturday in jacksonville.
Sticker is 33k, I've got them down to 24,868.
Just cloth seats, nothing extra, other than dealer side steps and mud flaps.
This is with the 7k rebate.
Ok, help me out please!
Am I going to regret not getting the V8???
Is the 5 that bad?
AND, am I paying too much???
They're giving me 500 over invoice, but according to your posts, that's too much???
I'm trying to get them to throw in a black bush guard too.
I think this is the greatest suv I can get for the money right now. I hate everything else. This would be a second vehicle, so I don't care about the gas.
Thanks for your help!

Thats not a bad deal but they could probably do better right now. I just bought a H3 I5 with Sunroof, and hitch package. It also had the Crome package. MSRP was 35,900. I got them down to 24k.
It took me some time to get them down to that..lots of back and forth, but I got them there.
As far as the I5. I love it. Plenty of power. It is my second car too. I have a 08 Acura TL Type S..so I get my 'get up and go" from that ride:-).
hope this helps.

My H3 Alpha has the luxury and adventure package.
I really think that if you can afford the V-8, you should go for it.
I really enjoy driving it. Honestly, I never felt that way about one of my cars.
Also, if you only get one without the little do-dads, I think the novelty of the H3 will wear a bit after the first few miles, and you will be back trading it in.
Trust me! I wound up doing this same thing with an RV!

Chevorlet Dealership today told me all an 07 h3 is bringing is 17,500. that is for a mint 07 with 13,000 miles. I paid over 30,000 for mine. Looks like my 5 month old son will be driving mine when he turns 16.

Of course a dealership is going to lowball you, especially another make. Hummer dealers or more sympathetic and will make you a better deal, but if you have the time and patience, sell it outright. My son sold his/my '06 H3 in Colorado this week with 108,000 miles on it for $16,200 and is looking at a new '08 H3 Alpha (12 miles on the odometer) for $10,000 off the sticker and thinking of flying into St. Louis to pick it up and drive it home. The best the dealer would offer for a nontrade in Colorado on his H3 was $14,550. The body was excellent but it needed tires and the cloth seats were worn.

...let me cheer you up - I paid nearly $40k for mine (some blingy extras that I removed later anyway, also GM maintenace service contract and "clear coat" finish, with tax it was some $41.5K on the invoice, ha-ha) , and I doubt that they'd offer me more then you got offered (maybe $18-$20k max) - that's for '07 with 5500 miles. I'll stop at the dealer and ask some day from curiosity.

No sense in my case moing up to a new H3 2008. like I said ther giveing $21K tops at the dealer. Mines loaded listed out for $39K has everything ..even the roof marker lamp...Nav ..etc.
So here's the way I figure... Talk the dealer into 25 -30 k for mine ..only has 10500 miles...and offer to buy either a 1 yera old H2 Or a new H2 laoded out ..and see how much they'kll drop the price on the H2.
If I can get a decent price I'll pay cash. Whay spend all that money on and Alpha for 41 K when for a few dollars for you can move into a real Gas hog. :D
Oh...Did I mention...I don't give a S _ _ T about the price of gas..like I always say.. I'm burning every last drop they can pump to the ground.:jump:
