theres an interesting story in todays detroit free press on speculation of hummer being sold to an indian,chinese,or russian owned group.how would you feel about owning a foreign hummer.to me the hummer is like an american icon so i guess id be bummed.my .o2.:popcorn:

It depends on a few things...
-Will the US units still be made in Shreveport Louisiana
-There are already some foreign elements in the Hummers. Is this deal really going to happen or just hype.
When I bought mine part of the deal was buying American. So going forward how this shakes out will matter to my next buying decision. I support our workers and economy when I can...

Thats just talk right now. The indian company also recently bought jaguar and Land Rover.

Same here! Being American made was a strong factor in my buying of my Hummers.

im not really a "buy american car person" but for me HUMMER is one brand that is iconic to America, the Humvee and all, so for me if HUMMER was foreign owned, wouldnt stop me from buying a new one but i would be very upset. Becuase as i said to me Hummer is an American icon of sorts, i feel very patriotic when driving mine, and if it were foreign owned it would take a lot of it out.
