What happens to the radio antennae? And I wonder how it hooks into the air box?

It does look good! I hope there is a way around losing the radio antenna.

This doesn't look photochopped all!

:lame:

Judging by pricing for other vehicles, this snorkel should be around $300.

i think it looks good, so what happens now to the fording depth any idea how deap that would actually let us go, and also what about the door seals, are they even able to withold water when driving through that depth

Doors seals, and sealing the electronics under the hood; the fuse box, and the pcm would need to be watertight to make this worthwhile.

Dont do this with your H3. There will be problems. Not a U boat. Your rear will get water in it. Your fuse panel will short out to name a few...

I've yet to see an H3 do anything hard core. So the snorkel will enable the drivers here to go underwater?

LOL. H3 Extreme.:giggling:

You could probably extend that by a couple feet above the roof and then completely submerge the vehicle!

The door seals do pretty well in deep water on the H3 (been there done that). One of the main things you need to do is raise the height of the vent tube for the automatic transmission. Transmissions don't like water in their fluid. Old Fstop told me of an ingenious way of using a marine clamp and about 3 feet of 3/8 inch hose then tie wrapping it behind the engine to the firewall. I was even thinking of running it into the cabin, but then you have to get a good seal around the hole you made for the tube and you would probably get some tranny fumes....

I've been in water that covered my headlights for about 60 yds when I had my 3 I was using it to ferry people across a low water crossing that were stuck between water crossings after a flood last year made the crossing there and back 8 times if i remember right no trouble. Really impressed alot of people that day. One of the things I do miss about not having a Hummer anymore. Also, I should add, it might not have been the smartest thing( not considering the vent tubes) or the fact that the road under the water may have been washed out therefore much deeper water but it all turned out okay and I felt pretty good helping standed people to get to go home.
