Emily Miller will become the first woman to ever drive the entire 550 mile Vegas to Reno offroad race on Aug 22. Her yellow specially prepared, Team Hummer H2 is a thing of beauty. At 100 pounds, and a young 40 years old, Emily is in peak physical condition! There are many links on the race and on Emily. Rod Hall and Chad Hall will be driving their H3 and H1 in this year's race. Retired off road racer Mike Walker described the race in the following way, "Baja is like driving down the highway compared to the Vegas Reno race."

I might be in Las Vegas that weekend. Where does the race start from in relation to the strip? Is anyone else planning on going to watch the start?

I hope to be on the highway waving to them as they pass me by. Plan B is I will be helping them repair or replace anything they break. Plan A sounds a whole lot better to me.
