Hey,
For those who took the scan gauge plunge...
Where is the best position for it?
On the Steering wheel deck, the cluster front deck, or the dash, or?
Thanks,

On the top dash right in front of me. Routed wire to the right and dropped down to bottom of panel. Works great. Its the best spot because it is directly in your driving view and I cannot keep my eyes off it.

I mounted mine on the far left dash, at a slight angle from the a-pillar to the windshield.

This works for me. I can see over it for all those "important messages" like "low tire":clapping:

I like to mount them on a roof. There's nothing like the feeling of "getting to it" with the breeze up there! Bottle of tequila, some limes, do a couple of body shots... But always bring a blanket cause on occasion you get the typical person or couple that can't believe you're daring enough to....
Scan gauge? What the hell is a scan gauge?
You guys should of started a rooftop knocking boots thread! I thought you were talking bout chickas!

Hunner,
I like your choice in location of the scan gauge. Thanks for the pic...
Which settings do you generally leave up to monitor on the display?

I like the IA because Im trying to come up with how much that is above ambient outside air. I used that for building my I-5 air intake to see improvements. (for now it seems 10 degrees warmer) If you stop of course it goes up. Actual engine temp on that side so I can watch that on this Alpha to learn how much warmer it runs. I like voltage to make sure everything envolved there is working. Last, I have been running MPG to see how to drive without my foot in it to get better milage. I already know that cruise is better than I am. I think they are working on an update for some vehicles that shows oil pressure which I would like if it comes available. (check their site for updates) I also flip thru the others from time to time.
Or like some people, you could just drive it until it quits! and call ONstar, if they can get to you.
