View Full Version : McCain Running Mate
Looks like it's Gov. Palin.
Two jets from Anchorage landed just outside Dayton and the passengers were picked up by several minivans and whisked away.
One of the jets was in Sedona last night, where McCain lives.
Palin hasn't been seen since yesterday.
Young, good looking woman, sports star, broadcaster. Interesting selection.
Fox News has called it, CNN is complaining about the silent treatment they've recieved for weeks.:giggling:
Confirmed officially and exclusively to FOX.
Surprised the "Political World".

Politics (leadership)is really going down the sh!tter isn't it.
A former sports reporter? Not a very long political career in one of the least populous states in the country.
Is that someone qualified to be one step from the presidency?

Some how the name Geraldine Ferraro comes to mind. :clapping:Ferraro is "very pleased" McCain reached out to a woman. Her own words.
Ferraro said obama's team, and the media treated hillary very badly and this may be very persuasive for hillary's supporters to cross over to McCain.

I'm sure she's a great Hockey mom, maybe she would make a good prime minister of Canada. (didn't she push for some oil pipeline through their country instead of Alaska anyway?)
but as I said. As governor of Alaska she's accountable to less people than the borough president of Brooklyn, NY. While she may have more political experience than some other candidate, I don't fancy either I don't think she's ready to be one step from the presidency. Unfortunately she's just a token to get McCain elected, because politics isn't about leadership anymore.:(
I'll bet if RYD packed up the airstream tomorrow, took a leisurely drive to Fairbanks and declared he was interested in running for office, that he would be elected to something in Alaska, by November!
Obama lowered the requirements to be president.
He has NO executive experience, just legislative. He's never led anything.
Palin has executive experience, it's not much, but it's tons more than obama.
How long has he held elective office? She's been elected 3 times and has a 90% approval rating.:clapping:

Smart move picking Sara Palin...
PTA president emeritas and former beauty queen.
Former Mayor of her home town. Not a bad girl.
Popular Governor of a State and a mother of 5...
-She has cleaned house in Alaska removing many a corrupt good old boy from the system.
-Her record is clean which is rare today
-A card carrying member of the NRA
-Pro Life which is also rare and refreshing for a female candidate.
Not too shabby and certainly a bold move for John McCain...
Should make for a interesting race!:drama:

She's pro-drilling, pro-gun, pro outdoor recreation (hunting, fishing, OHV's, etc.) pro-national defense, not an environmental extremist, she is intelligent, ethical, and easy on the eyes.
She ran for Governor as a successful American, a political outsider.
Her positions on the issues match my own. She is the conservative that McCain needed to shore up the base.
I like her better than McCain.

I'll admit that I'm no expert on political things but I think he made a great move and is in it to win it. It was unexpected, it shook things up and he picked a woman when so many Hillary supporters wanted her nomination or Veep status. I think Obama could have possibly won if he'd picked Hillary as a running mate but instead, he split the votes. Now, she might not be Hillary but you can't call him non-innovative and he's obviously very clever.

WHAT, WHO , WHERE , WHY AND WHEN
IS
Obama qualified to be President of the United Satates of America while alive...or dead
unless
your suggestion that BIG MOUTH JOE is planning something !!!
Let me explain something:
EVERYTHING HAS PRIORITIES, so if you list the major problems existing in the USA & the world today they include the following (i'm sure i'll miss a few but not intentionally)
1. National Security
2. Gun Control
3. Equal Employment
4. Roe vs Wade
5. Cuba
6. Russia
7. Arab Terrorist
8. Hurricanes
9. Minimum Wage
10. Taxes
11. Venezuela
12. Oil, Gas, Energy
13. Government Controls
14. Social Security
15. Retirement
16. Health Care
etc etc
NEXT
YOU put them in order of priority for yourself and assign them a priority percentage which totals 100 %
I'll show you mine: (a few in order of my priority
45% National Security not Obama
15% Arab Terrorist not Obama
5% Gun Control Obama would take away you toy gun
5% Social Security more taxes by Obama
5% Russia Obama would hold hands & Talk
5% Oil, Gas, Energy Lets buy more foreign oil says Obama
5% Government Controls Obama is for lots of controls
5% Retirement More taxes by Obama
5% Health Care More taxes by Obama
5% Taxes More & more by Obama
NOW ITS YOUR TURN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont forget one of her children has down sydrome as well, so she greatly appeals to a lot of the disabled families. While i dont necessarily agree with two or her major standings (dont wanna list it to cause a whole stir) i think she is hands down a better for vp than biden, and would be a better president than obama.
And as for the d McCain dying in office, he would not be the oldest president to ever be inagurated, the oldest was Ronald Reagan at age 73 years and 350 days old where as when McCain is inagurated he would be 72 years and 144 days. He would be the oldest to the ascension of the presidency but not the oldest to be inagurated.
Sorry RYD, these needed to be merged since they were becoming the samething.:)

I would risk to say that Palin has bigger balls than 99.9% of all Demo men in gov. or not. She has proven that there is no learning curve to steep for her to pick up and learn. If McCain is wise and picks cabinet members, of some I feel he will choose, along with Palin's impute (which I read someplace is McCain's very ention is to include her from the get go) Palin will have all the advisors from which to make intelligent decisions if that should fall to her in an untimely manner. McCain is also going to be grooming Palin to beat down Hillary in 2012. Any leader that is willing to fire a brotheren law for corruption and when the board that it needed to go through would not go along Palin fired those people as well untill she ran off the old Republican good ole boy club that was corrupt to the core. Palin will do whatever her country needs her to do even if it means being McCain's attack dog to get all in line.
I can hardly wait for her first dismantling of Biden in a debate. She must be a good debater from teaching days as well as the fights she carried out on the state AK legislative floor. Anyone who underestimates this lady will find themselves castrated and many old dogs learning new tricks. Congress be afraid very afraid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, also to cover Hussien's experience to run USA He began running for Prez election shortly after winning his senate position. All can see the mental and emotional training Hussien was raised in even though the church he called home was not led in a Protestant manner from what I can see. Hussien has more cracks in his armor than there is enough JB Weld to patch up. If McCain will go after Hussien on just the issues not counting the character flaws it should be a landslide win for the Republicans not only in Prez race but, in the Congressional races also. Prez needs to just forget the goody 2 shoes stuff and realize he is fighting for Our countries power position, fear of USA, and respect in the eyes of the world.
All the experience Hussien Obama has is beginning his Prez campaign not much sooner
