Still up from Sat night. Just watched Wanted...not bad, I rather liked it. It was more graphic novel-ish than I thought but it was good. Watched Hancock again earlier...great movie.

Put up my new weather station. I love it! It shows everything: wind, wind chill, direction, humidity, temperature, forecast, barometric pressure, etc. I have the main part right on my desk. I love weather stuff. Was gonna put it up for Christmas but it's much more exciting to have during hurricane season.

Under a tropical storm watch. Looks like Gustav is headed to New Orleans still although we'll get some wind and rain. What a bitch of a storm. Not the experience I like.

Went shopping at Pier Park tonight, saw about 6 Hummers out and get this, a freaking Bentley. He stared at us but Rich was staring more. LOL I was impressed. Shopped at Ulta and Borders (I so love Borders, I got Dog Soldiers for $10) and had some barbeque.

Will have a pork loin tomorrow with some stuff and not sure on Labor Day yet. I don't have as many family or friends as Ken. LOL

I think my post merged the whole weekend but I ramble after a drink or so. I will also tell secrets and say I love you to people. Just kidding.

BAH HUM-BUG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The HUMMER is constipated !!!

First it wouldn't start this morning so i got a jump, then ABS warning comes on, then Traction Control warning comes on, then A/C stops......!!!

Call ONSTAR and they do their little HOKUS POKUS and send me to an tech. He tells me it could be the battery or the computer or a short in a wiring harness or or or or or ...

Of course its Sunday and the dealer service dept is closed and tomorrow is a Federal Holiday so I believe they are closed also...

Did get to breakfast though (priority you know)

guess i'll go to the search mode and see the past problems others have had...

you all have a good day !!!!!!!!!!

Got up, checked the smoker and all is good. Put 3 baby backs on with 3 different rubs. We'll see which is the favorite. Gave the butts a mop, re-fueled the cooker and I'm good for the next two hours.

Holding the little man while the wife does her job... clean.;)

Family and friends arrive at 3.

Cleaning out the garage and shed today, good luck weathering that storm down there.

Glad you made the trek back to the "Great State of Alaska" safely! Sounds like you have a great Governor, too! ;)

Driving down the coast during the day in search of some fresh, tasty seafood. May end up somewhere's commercial, though, like Gladstone's.

Keeping up on The Weather Channel and feeling badly for the folks in Louisiana and MS. Hope it's not anywheres as bad as Katrina. :-(

I'm moving in with CP and Ken, they're always having fun. ;)

Ok, maybe not CP so much....

Hope everyone is ok with Gustav, that's one nasty storm. We're getting the heat effects from it. It had cooled off to the lower 90s for the past few weeks, with Gustav's approach we're back to the 100s. Ick.

Had a road trip yesterday to Austin. Got to spend my birthday money at a mega-scrapbook store, then we headed to a park for a picnic. Twas nice. Hubby is mowing today, so the day's kind of trashed. It's a 6 hour job so I'm cooped up with the kids. I did get beans planted this morning tho, and the cherry tomatoes from spring in the trash. My Romas are still doing nicely tho, and the corn from last weekend is about 3" high already.

Planning on going out to the Parade of Homes tomorrow in San Antonio. 9 homes, over $1 million each (which may be nothing to a lot of you, but the average home price in SA is about $147K). Always good for ideas and resources. I hope to at least get a good reference for remote control shades out of it - we have some 20' high windows in the living room and you can't sit in there from 1-5 PM without being in the sun. :(
