After my little Pismo trip and pulling out a stuck chevy dually & F250 Diesel I heard some clunking noise during decelerate from the front diff area. When I got home I drained the diff fluid and found a couple broken teeth in the fluid. Anyone know where I can find a good deal on a R&P? DO they make updated R&P's for the H3? Hardened steel?

If you've gotta pay the bill, check Randy's Ring and Pinion..

Not sure which one you need, I think the differences are the top one's thicker than the other..

Thanks. Ya I found that company online while I was searching. Guess I'll give them a call.

Maybe you can get a cast iron diff in the process?
The dually and and F-250 are both pretty heavy trucks especially when stuck.
I hope they appreciated getting un-stuck.

How loud was the noise? After we had the front driveshaft replace I am hearing something odd, sounds like it is locked in 4hi or something. I hope that we dont have the same problem.
I plan to have the dealer check it out.
Please let me know more about what you hear, thanks

Its a loud noise.. Almost sounds like dragging a metal rake on the cement. I only hear it on decel. though
