I don't suppose the Hummer is everyones daily driver (I may be wrong- flame away) but what's everyone else driving when the snow or boulders are not calling?

I'm a BMW freak personally The Hummer is replacing the X5 when the lease is up in march.

Hehe..my other car is a 2001 BMW 740iL. Well, actually, my H1 is my daily driver. The BMW is my wife's car.

Gotta love Bimmers. Hate the dealer service though. It's probably the one reason why aftermarket third party service centers for BMW thrive.

after my service experience with my M3, they couldn't give me another one. I now have a 2004 Infiniti FX35 and a 2004 Audi A4 convertible, as well as the H2.

My other car - 1970 VW Karmann Ghia. Driving it? No. Hasn't run since '95, but I still push it out of the garage every now and then to get some looks. The engine just needs an overhaul since it's been sitting so long (and a conversion to unleaded gas), and the interior is still in shell condition. Still a ton of fun tho. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

His truck is nothing, just a few mods....you should check out the Caddy forum he's on. About half the guys are from the northeast, the rest from Cali. Pretty wild stuff....the forum sucks tho, mostly bitching about how Caddy needs to build better quality stock parts because their 24s keep snapping the suspension. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Why would you assume the Hummer is not daily transportation? It sure is mine. My wife has an 02 Escalade that used to be cool and I have an 89 Vette with a huge motor that I never drive anymore. The H2 is just too cool not to drive it everyday.

Hmmmm.....let me think. Well, amongst the many reasons for my purchasing the Ferrari WAS the potential for picking up young girls between the ages of 18-30. Since your 19, that would be fine. But something tells me you ain't no girl??!!

If a ride in a 355 means that much to ya...then sure, let me know when your in town and I'll give you a ride.

I'm tempted to say that it's no big deal...but I'd be lying!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

my goal in about 5 years is to have a:

f355 spider
titanium/bordeoux or red/tan or grigio alloy/black
challenge grill
scuderia badges to the fenders
tubi exhaust
14" brembo brakes

my only concern is last time i tried i was barely able to get in the car, and now at about 1" taller than then, my 6'4 1/2 frame might have a hard time squeezing in.

Those are great slogans, I hear alot of them believe me. The back of my septic truck says "we haul milk on the weekends" . I'm leaving for the annual pumper show in Nashville next week. The h2 is gonna get a work out. Its me, wifey, my three kids and my niece . Good thing for the rear seat option. Were going from maine to tennesse to florida to maine , about 3700 mile trip in two weeks. We do it every year, this is the third year with the h2 and it has never missed a beat.

Dug3x3,
I don't know how well either one of us would hold up riding these old beaters. I flatten out the springs just riding around the yard.

I can do better on the Prairie 650.

As for the socks...I was just playing in the yard trying to get a good picture of me doing a burn out on the mini....I scorched the back of my leg where the left one fell down and the back of my calf hit the header.

"Mine" might be a stretch on this one - the III Armored Corps Property Book Officer might take exception to me claiming it as mine (I know for certain my driver would since he's the one who has to wash it).

Mods:

AN/VRC 90 (dual high output)
Advanced System Improvement Plan (ASIP), Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS): VHF, frequency modulation (channel hopping) combat net radio.

VRC-97 Mobile Subscriber Radio Telephone (MSRT)
(HF FM based secure cell phone)

AN/PNS 11 Enhanced Precision Lightweight GPS Receiver (PLGR)

AN/UYQ 90 Maneuver Tracking System (MTS): Satellite, GPS and FM enabled friendly force location system (enables global tracking of all equipped vehicles, 11 inch monitor with integrated keyboard, also capable of transmitting/receiving secure text messages globally).

Fiberglass (non-ballistic) integrated cab and cargo top

120 Amp alternator

Radial tires (replaced the old bias ply crap)
