Another day, another lawsuit against Victoria's Secret (http://www.stylelist.com/blog/2008/11/11/another-day-another-lawsuit-against-victorias-secret/)

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.stylelist.com/blog/media/2008/11/v280865_043.jpgVictoria's Secret has gone and done it again. Their lingerie is so dangerous it should come with a warning label! First a woman was attacked by her thong (http://www.stylelist.com/blog/2008/06/19/victorias-secret-sued-by-woman-for-thong-injury/). Now this time the women's underwear company is being sued because their bras made a woman sick.

Roberta Ritter has made claims that she bought a Very Sexy Extreme Me Push-Up bra and an Angels Secret Embrace bra and they gave her a rash (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,449918,00.html). She complains, "I had the welts ... very red, hot to the touch, extremely inflamed, blistery. It itched profusely. I couldn't sleep, waking up itching."
Is this gorgeous lingerie worth the risk? (http://www.stylelist.com/blog/photos/is-this-gorgeous-lingerie-worth-the-risk/)

Welts and rashes aren't exactly the sexy glam image that Victoria's Secret is trying to sell, but apparently Roberta isn't the only one with that problem. Lab tests revealed that the bras contain formaldehyde, which may cause allergic reactions in some people.

Dozens of other women are now trying to get together a class action lawsuit against the pink giant. Here at Stylelist, we can only shake our heads and wonder -- when will fashion stop being so hazardous to women's health?

If I were to get a rash from some clothing I was wearing I'd change. Duh.

I think it's going to be difficult to win that one. Formaldehyde is used by manufacturers for several reasons.

If those women have cloths in their closets labeled from Asia, then those cloths certainly had formaldehyde on them. It's used on natural fiber products to prevent mildew while being shipped.

Manufacturers also use formaldehyde to keep cloths from staining and to keep them wrinkle free.

Wash your cloths before wearing them.

If I were VS's attorney I'd want to see everything in that woman's wardrobe and her home since many home building products off chemicals such as formaldehyde.

After formaldehyde is proven to exist throughout her home and wardrobe, I'd ask her to stop buying bra's two sizes too small.:D

Here's another thing... Does she walk around all day only wearing a bra? How does she know it's the bra?

If this lawsuit wins, will more women be forced to remove their bras? Just a thought ;)
