9mm??? get a real gun .45 or .40? The .45 XD's are awesome and they offer them in sub compact models. If you like the springfields you will like the Taurus models. http://www.taurususa.com/products/gunselector-results.cfm?series=247

Got a Beretta M9A1 on the 19th and will have the Crimson Trace LG-402M for it by the 5th of Dec.

Yes, I know the 45 is considered to be better than the 9mm but I wanted the M9A1 ;)

Oh yeah, Crimson has a free shirt or hat that has "Laser Grips, Helping Bad Guys Make Informed Decisions" on them :D while they have a Thanksgiving Sale going on.

Funny, I nearly bought a Magnum Desert Eagle in Alabama the other day, however being a FL resident they couldn't sell it to me due to being out of state. Was the lowest price for a new one I had found....$1300. very nice. Was at Woods and Water in Tusculoosa, AL if someone is looking for one that lives around there.

Thats the first beretta 9mm I have seen with a tac rail??? Nice. Don't get me wrong 9mm are ok, they just don't offer some stopping power. I have the Taurus pro 24/7 .40 I scaled down from the .45 because my wife couldnt control the .45 to well. Her shots were to spread. Well better get all the firearms before Obama gets his ways!!:giggling:

Yup, That is a MIL-SPEC 1913 picatinny rail. There are a couple other minor changes made to the weapon that make it a little different than the 92 FS.

I could have gone with a laser for the rail but the Crimson Trace on the grip just seems a better option for me/us. Maybe a small flash light for dark of night situations. I was looking at replacing the recoil spring and rod with a laser for about the same price as the Crimson but the dealer and I just didn't seem to get "along well", such is life

The firearm is going to be for self defense (will be getting permit to conceal by spring) and my thinking is the weapon is a mid weight one (aluminum frame) and holds 15 plus 1 and a couple taps to the head or chest with Federal Cartridge Hydra-Shok made possible with a laser sighting should take care of any threat, but again that is just my thinking and why I bought it ;)

Still may get Karen a Beretta Px4 Storm Sub-Compact in 9 mm with the Crimson Laser if she doesn't like the M9A1. https://www.shopberetta.com/e2wItemMain.aspx?parentID=IT00005867&parentLink=2100000084:3100001364:3100001370

Before I forget, did own a Desert Eagle nickle plated 44 mag for many years, it is just not practical for self defense but was fun to shoot.

Still have the pre-ban AR 15 which Karen bought for me when she was stationed at Bragg years ago, we just felt we needed a "small arm" cause of the times we are a living in.

Did look at a Barrett 50 single shot thinking that Obama would ban the sale of them but Karen wanted to know what I was going to be shooting at a mile and a half away, didn't get one, yet :D

Maybe this one http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=110_cong_bills&docid=f:h6257ih.txt.pdf

Check out the list of weapons they want to ban, it'll never happen :notallthere:

Yup, Just like my AR 15 with pistol grip, 20 round mags, (or my 30 round for that matter) flash suppressor and bayonet lug. I have owned this weapon since 1983 or so and I "think" it will be grandfathered in due to date of purchase as last time they "banned assault weapons".

Basically anything that looks like an AR15 / M16 is what they are referring to - thats the way that I read it.
