Ummmm $658/month for a lease sounds pretty damn high to me. But that's just me. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

You can do much better with the Employee Pricing program going on. Actually you can do better without it. A friend go his in Feb., loaded Lux with accessories, $0 down, 36 months and it is right at $600/month. I am guessing here, but I would think with the current program, you should be able to get that down by about $100/mo at least for a base unit. I have seen it mentioned with the new program it can bring a lux to just below $50K. My friend's was just over $60K and you are looking at a base unit. Work that dealer over http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

For $100 extra/ month you could buy a LUX H2 if you stretched out the loan. that does seem steep for a lease.

Is that a lease? 36 months? 12K? if it is, then I'm getting screwed...

Forgot to add another dealer wanted $675 + tax for an H2 with a less MSRP, and get this, (directly from their email)...

"I would really like to do what I can to earn your business. However, the GM employee prices are set by the factory. The purchase price (cap cost) that this lease is based on is way lower than invoice, clear through the holdback. There is no room to change the numbers. GM is doing a huge national ad on all of their brands for the month of June, ending on July 5th. If you were to find another base model with the black tubular steps & black roof crossbars anywhere in the country, the price needs to be the same for GM to avoid all possibility of liability. (The factory doesn't want people sueing them for false advertizing.) The only way to lower your payments is to have you put more money down at signing."

Are these people full of crap or what?

They are full of CRAP. Don't know about Tully's lease but my buddies lease is 36/12K. The employee pricing program should be MUCH better than and programs that they have run previously. Now my buddy did shop around with dealer as far away as Michigan and got the local dealer to match the best deal he had gotten. Shop around. Even if you have to have it shipped from out of state you will more than likely be able to make the cost up and then some.

MSRP 54,830 GMS Discount 48,634.55

Doesn't seem like a "big" discount!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

As I recall, I saw posts stating that the discount brought a lux down to the $49K range. You are getting quoted base at almost that http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif The post I saw may have been wrong. I might be going to my dealer tonight to talk about an SUT rather than the H3. If I hear anything, I will let you know.

Again, I still think you should do some math using the formula from below link:

http://www.edmunds.com/advice/leasing/articles/48365/article.html

Everyone has different credit score which does affect your interest rate (money factor in leasing term).

Each bank has their own residual value. Given the fact they should be similar but not exactly the same. A few percent on a $50k vehicle is a good chunk of change.

Also, just because it's a base model doesn't necessarily mean it must be cheaper in a lease. Banks do realize certain options will make the vehicle easier to auction off in 3 years. Therefore, higher models may residualize better. Again, that few percent = thousands. Which can make up the difference.
