View Full Version : Though dirty, she's done already....

I got her last week and put new shoes on her. I installed the Truxx torsion bar and spacer in the rear.
Tinted the front windshield and painted the chrome grille, white.
I did remove the chrome hood latches. I liked them but was afraid it would chip the paint if someone slammed the hood.
Anyway, here is the way I bought her.

Here she is now. The pic doesn't show how much it's lifted because it's leaning but it's almost 3" higher than it was stock.

Waiting for my warn winch and I think she's done.... (for now)

Thanks, wheels are 20x10's and the tires are Mickey Thompson MTZ's (my 4th set) and they are 35-12.50's x 20's

looks great! I always like the look of the Mickey Thompsons. Lift looks perfect with that tire and rim size combo.

Thanks guys but apparently I lied.
Tim (ttkresurfacing) and I installed my Warn winch bumper on the truck tonight.
First, SUPER FAST shipping. I ordered it through a company in CA. yesterday around noon.
I received it today early afternoon. (I think it came from one of their GA based locations) but still fast nonetheless.
Second, I'm not sure I like the winch on there. I loved it on my older H2 but it had a bigger lift, larger tires and brushguard.
Somehow the smooth look is gone. I'm thinking a grille guard might help.
I'll post pics tomorrow.

I run that same lift, loose those tube steps and it will show off the height.

Actually, I'm going to do the same I did to my '03. I know the pics a little ways off but if you look, you can see the bars are raised almost 2 inches.

That way, I've still got the bars and it's easy for my wife and kids to get in.
Personally, I like the looks of removing the bars but we're all a bunch of short ****s and the step makes it that much easier.

Hey Mark are you running 37s with that lift? If so do you think you have room for 38's without ripping out fendewells?

I'm about to do the same to the new one. Today I tried to get into the truck without stepping on the stepbars but it really was a PIA.
I'll raise the new bars a few inches and post pics.

How much of a drop hitch (inches) is the hitch you are using?

Love it!! personally, I would have kept those rims and just gotten new tires... also, it will look cleaner if you take off the roof rails and step bars (just my $.02) :D
Nice truck!! nice color choice!

I was going to remove the rails, bars and rear tire holder but now that I installed the warn winch, I think it'll look wrong.

Personally I like the roof rails. If your going for an off road look the rails need to stay. When you bling, then the rails can go. I love my LE side steps. You still have a step to get in but keeps a nice look. I have no lift but it makes the truck look higher. Maybe consider those steps?

Bling rims and Warn winches never were a popular combo. Sell the winch and buy some audio and video upgrades. :D
