Looks good, I'm torn between the spare tire and deleteing it. Looks real clean. Makes the tail gate so much more accessable too! Cant stand when someone parks behind me and I need to get to the tail gate and I cant swing the tire out!

Do you notice any difference in the ride losing that extra weight on the rear?

Makes it ALOT easier to see behind you aswell. The oem spare fits in the bed laying down.

Looks bad ass man. I'm looking to do the same set up. Wheels and all. Throw the spare in the back and off you go.. I'll throw mine in the bed on long trips and keep it in the garage while around town. Where did you get your wheels? Do you have the offset/backspacing?? They look wider then the ones that I was about to buy. Also, how do you like the tires? Are they obnoxious or are they manageable? How loud are they really? Are they completely noticeable inside the cab?

I bought the wheels and tires from Directline wheels on ebay. I really like the wheels and tires, not to much noise. At least for the amount of noise they really don't bother me..
I would recommend them for sure.. You can hear them from in the cab, but not bad at all..

delete looks really nice but no offense, I don't like the plate there. Everyone I see mounts them offcenter though:confused:

You should try this for the money, it's what i went with, once you mount it you may agree?!? and it's cheap to buy and try. A nice billet frame with it looks nice :)

I believe the original prototype had the "HUMMER" lettering embossed across the back.

That one is a POS.

I used a Tomkin Machine one, which was steel and welded, they are a Jeep outfitter, but their stuff is top notch. The only problem is, you can't use your receiver and your plate sits low, and can be damaged if you go offroad.

Or you can buy a plate box and have it recessed into the tailgate. Tye Law's Hummer was like that. I'll see if I still have pics of it.

Why is it a POS?

I'm 100% positive it will outlast the truck. And, with the way you can orientate the plate you can alleviate any possible offroading damage you speak of with yours. It leaves the lowest part of plate quite higher than the bottom of the bumper.
