Way way back in 1966 my father bought a new 1966 International scout with a 4 speed manual and a 4 cylinder. We had lots of great times in the scout and I have frequently considered buying a used one but they are either very used or very high $$. That is one reason why I purchased the H3. The H3 has several comparisons to the scout. A few years later, International came out with a V8 in the scout and we later bought one of them also. When I think of 4 wheeling, I think of driver skill and the use of gearing. I don't think of HP. With the recent thread on I5 vs V8 I felt the desire to tell my feelings. I think history will show more love for the I5 than we are giving it. If you look at what scout collectors are seeking, its the scout with the 4 cly, not the scouts with the V8......don't give up on the I5...
