on my 2008 sut, after 8000 miles, my front brakes are still squealing. the dealership told me that it can take up to 10k miles for break in...i think that is bs and they wont do anything until then...anyone else with this problem...

I have the same exact problem on my 08 too. I have 14,000 now on mine and complained at 11,000 to the dealer. They turned the front rotors and put brand new pads on because they said there was a TSB on it and the pads were defective. Well 3,000 miles later its back and it is right before you stop you hear the grind/squeal and it sounds terrible. I almost think i am hearing it from the back too. Next service appt for oil i am also going to have them check them all and redo all the brakes if needed. I would also like to hear if anyone else is having this problem and what it was or took to resolve.

Mine squeal to....but it is the actuator pump on my 08' that is causing the squeal...sounds just like a regular brake squeal, but it has to do with the pump....dealership doesn't know why it's doing it, and don't have an answer as of yet......it's annoying and a new truck shouldn't make noises....

no i installed autozone gold ceramic pads that have a rubber backing on the metal part of the pad...no more noise and they stop great and they were $65
