OK my question is whats the difference between our 6Liter Motor vs the 6Liter motor on the Trailblazer SS ... I know the TrailBlazer SS makes more power and torque but, whats stopping us from using the manifold of that motor ... I thought ( check me if I'm wrong ) both motors were a variant of LS2's ...

Same displacement but there are many other factors that contribute to the difference in HP. The TBSS has different compression, different heads, different camshaft and different tuning.

Most of the difference between like engines as in when Escalade had the same engine as H2 but more stated HP etc.
That difference in power set by factory is timing and of course fuel pressure. That is why you up the pounds of injectors if timing is advanced dramatically as in power adding equip.
In a stock to stock match up the fuel pressure range is suficient of course to match timing adjust set within limit by factory in the computer.
This setup is what allows the handheld programmer companies to make a fortune which is cool. Bad part is the factory knows it is safe and could actual make money as an optional performance upgrade charging very much so as to deter those who may not have an idea of how to use it not to want to pay the extra. The factory could turn down the settings charge less and customer would be safe. It would not change the tuning guys business of still improing on performance with their handhelds.
Well hope that helps but, HUMTECH is a good source of info on most everything just hoping to add a little.

If you really want to know just do a google search for the lq4 6l and a search on the ls2 6l. The intake has nothing to do with the numbers an ls2 produces. HP and torque numbers are mostly increased with clylinder head design and ci.

The LQ4 intake isn't that bad anyways. It flows close to the LS6 intake until about 5500 rpms. The LS2 has a more agressive cam and better heads. You could put a more agressive cam in the LQ4 and it would really wake up. This would also require a custom tune and larger injectors since the stock ones are maxed out on a stock engine.
