I must be out of the loop! I heard all of the rumors but this is the first official notice I have seen in writing.
This came fromour dealer in an email.
Now?s the time to get that Hummer truck you?ve been dreaming of. March 31, 2009 is the last day of production for the civilian Hummer Brand. But don?t fret, GM will stand behind HUMMER warranty and parts, so come test drive these beauties today!!!!
Does this make our truck more or less valuable?

I'm pretty sure if GM cancels the Hummer line someone will buy it. Its still a very marketable trademark. If only they could come up with a way to increase efficiency by like 6 or 7 MPG.

no but when the CEO of GM says that there is only one of two routes for hummers, then thats pretty official.
either sell or phase out. so thats a pretty good indicator that hummer may go bye bye.

OK! So below is the email that we recieved from Love Chevrolet/Hummer.
No link to post, I simply copied and pasted the email here.
As a loyal GM customer for 20 years I cant believe that they are in this situation, before the H3 we had a GTO which was one of the finest cars i've ever driven...also discontinued.

looks like I'll be keeping mine then - unless I see a killer deal locally one either H3 Alpha, or H2. I drove by the Hummer dealership yesterday, and I saw ONE Hummer H3; no more... they must've sold many Hummers lately, even preowned ones. I know they sold out all but most expensive H2's some 1-2 months ago, and now H3's are nearly sold out too...

 You're right, after about 4 years of posting facts I decided to start fabricating quotes supposedly from the top guy at GM.
And yes, I consider anything out of the GM's Chairman of the board as "an official GM Authorized Statement," you know...since he's running the company...:)
