I ordered a set of the IPCW smoked side marker lights and the Recon smoked cab lights off eBay and the install was a pain in the butt. The side marker lights wouldn't mount over the factory side markers so I ended up smashing the OEM side markers with a hammer to remove the LED's and then epoxying the LED's to the inside of the IPCW units. I called IPCW for install help (since no manual is included with the lights) and they didn't have any idea how to mount the lights. Obviously I spoke to an American import company who just sells crap from China without any idea on what it does.
Then I went to install the Recon cab lights and the posts which mount through the holes in the roof were to big and I had to use my dremel to slim them down so they'd fit. Needless to say I'm a little frustrated that these installs should have taken very minimal time but ended up taking 6hrs. Am I doing something wrong? Are the kits on eBay factory seconds with defects? Let me know if you guys had similiar issues so I know I'm not making things more difficult for no reason. Thanks- Jacob :mad:
