View Full Version : Is now the right time to buy an H3?
So I've been hearing a lot about GM discontinuing Hummers, and I remember reading something on the Wallstreet Journal that Hummers are now being sold at 50% the price. Can anyone confirm if anyone of the above is true? And would now be a good time to get a used or new Hummer? Any inputs are welcome. Cheers

currently there are very good deals on '08 models; I wouldn't say 50% off but for instance $40k (listed MSRP/window sticker) H3 is being offered by my local dealer for $28k from March 19th-22nd. There is $7k factory rebate and $5k dealership discount.. I have hard time to find any H2's though, they seem to be sold out
Is that for a new or certified pre-owned H3? Is there any possibility I can get a decent deal on an H3 with $10,000?

factory rebates apply to new vehicles only and mainly to '08 models (there may be some discounts on '09's but not as big ); I don't think that you can buy any Hummer regardless the year or model for $10k.

..$16.5k is opening bid with "reserve not met" and BIN is $19k, so the reserve is probably somewhere in between, $17k-$18k.. it is a nice base H3

I'll chime in on this thread. My 06 lease was up this month, and I was out shopping for a new vehicle about 30 days prior to the turn-over. The Hummer was on my list of vehicles that I would "buy" this time around, but it wasn't high on that list. That changed after I test drove a brand new 08 Alpha at my dealership. They had 3 leftover. All I can say is Wow!
MSRP (sticker) was just shy of $42k. I got it out the door for a final price of exactly $27k.
How the hell could I say no to that?
So I'm still an H3 owner..........and I have 320 miles on my black beauty so far....... :)
.........yeah I know I need to change my tag info...........geesh!

good deal on that Alpha - did you get adventure package?
post some pics please - black Alpha is on my shopping list, but I don't think I can get such a deal down here, my dealership is not into heavy discounts, rather the other way around
