Here are some pics from the Kinzalow event in Dayton TN. The first day we ran Moderate Plus trails with some of the SUTs, 15 total, that included the V ditch that provided some spectacular pictures as well as a spectacular ride.
On days two and three I ran the difficult trails with the H1s. On 3 of the four trails that I ran they said that I was the only H2 to ever go down the trails.
I was testing the HD tie rods for Rubber Duck 4x4 this was version 2 and I think they have it right. I have no financial connections with them other than I am a willing guinea pig for testing some of their new off road products.
I will also post a link to some other pictures from the trip taken by some of the other H1 owners. In one of these pictures you can see the right rear tire completely off the ground due to a large rock under the rear diff. Other Kinzalow Pics (http://www.rawconcepts.com/vehicles/hummer/kinzalow/may2004/kinzalowtrails.html)
They said they could follow me down the trail by the silver shavings form the front skid plate laying on the rocks.
I have included some pictures of the underneath of the truck after day two when I was having new idler and pitman arms installed as well as a new steering gear. The idler pitman were basically worn out when I arrived at the event but after two days on those kind of trails they needed to be replaced. GM is supporting these events with Mechanics a parts.
I think the H2 surprised every body on what it could do however, the six inches of ground clearance that it gives up to the ones is a major disadvantage. Most of the rocks that they would straddle we need to put a tire on to get over. Also, the H2 needs more of a finesse line and can not be hammered like the H1.
I broke a half shaft on the trail at the end of the second day. I was trying to clime over a two foot rock in front and the wheels were turned all the way to the drivers side. Tires weren't spinning but I was applying throttle and suddenly it went pop. It probably wouldn't have happened if the wheel hadn’t been turned all of the way but those things will happen.
If I hadn't had the RD4x4 under carriage I would have probably left the transfer case and oil pan on the trail. The front skid plat that you see is being reinstalled after taking a ten pound sledge to it for about ten minutes to try to straiten it back out. It was pushed all the way up against the front diff. If you did this often the front skid will have to go. I think the Duck is working on another model with plate on the outside.
The trip was great, the trails were unbelievable, and the H2 is awesome. However, it is not a H1.

Great pics! Some nice shots of the SUT too. Do you have these in a larger format?

Dan,
Yes I do. I have a 5 meg camera and was shooting in high mode. I think they come out to around 2-3 megs in jpg format.

Cincy,
Why the hell were your trying to run with the factory skid plate?!? RubberDuck should have kicked your ass for that alone! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Sorry I couldn't be there, looks like a blast. Still trying to work on the body damage from our last trip http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
The damage is not that bad, heck you did not shear off any bolts, how bad could it have been http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Seriously, very cool pictures. Love seeing an H2 owner throwing the truck around in a serious fashion.
Seeing all the pics and stories is bumming me out though, I was planning to attend but ended up supporting a 2 day Hummer Happening here in PA. Good news is it gets me primed for the National event at Paragon in July!

cincih2 ,
Thanks for the picts.
Where the hell did all of those SUTs come from (don't say the factory or GM http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
What I mean is were these test units from the factory, dealer units, or privately owned by some very lucky souls?
Any feedback on the SUT from what you saw?
I count at least 5. Was this in MI? I don't know Kinzalow??
You know you are killing Dan and myself here...
Thanks again for the pictures...

cinciH2,
Very nice pics, after looking at them I'm glad stuck to moderate and mod+, advanced would have been waaay over my head as a driver.
Hummer17,
I know it's gonna bum you and Dan out, but all the SUTs at Kinzalow's where GM owened. The burgandy one behind the yellow SUT in pic 14 is the one I'm driving.

Hummer17,
Kinzalow Trails is the private property of a man (Dick Kinzalow) in Dayton, TN who also happens to be a Hummer fanatic. In fact, the very first Hummer Club event was at his place 10 years ago.
Claydog,
That trail (Modulation Hell) is considered "more difficult" (moderate plus)! You should try some of the "most difficult" trails sometime. Major pucker! Might want to ride in an H1 though. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That burgundy one is parked next to the black one. If you look in pic 16, the burgundy one you mentioned has a chrome grill, black handles & latches. All of the pics you posted have the body colored grill, chrome handles & latches.
What's up with that?
Those are great pics. I did not see any of the SUT's wheeling. Some have mud, but were they there actualy doing something?

Dan look under the 'radioshack' sign, that is probably the SUT he is talking about.
Barely see the red w/ chrome roof racks.
It's good to know that they had like 15 suts down there that could have been yours Dan, sucks don't it.

Actually I just blew it on being in that pic, I was parked in that area of the lot the first day and didn't pay the least bit attention to the fact that some of the trucks in the pic are already dirty, duh.
Dmax, I know! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Wonder what happens to those testers?
Just keeping you honest Claydog http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Most will be wholesaled as 'factory offical vehicles', unless an employee has one 'tagged'. The rest will be torn down for insection then crushed.

Oh, they wheeled, alright -the last day most of them got in the moderate plus line, and then we ended up going to Chickenhouse. It's mostly a creek run with boulders of unusual size -the advanced groups were ahead of us. The GM folks did surprisingly well, considering that for most of them it was their first time, but they left a lot of metal on the rocks. Check out some more pics in my photo album.
